It would be nice to think it's not his money, but I suspect he's going to still be around to fritter away the proceeds on either a 36 year old squad player or some other 9th tier vanity project he thinks he can turn into a star.

In football they say the league table never lies, well we are 20th and the outcomes we are seeing from the work of SE and PR is reflected in that position. From the recent interviews you can infer that players will have to leave for TS to allow new faces to come in, so SE has to decide who is in his gang or not and it appears that these two are on their way out, it will be difficult to see how we will get better players than these two, when the budget is being tightly managed and we are at the bottom part of the league, players are not joining us for a promotion push.
I don't think the way these two have been managed is very good, no matter what level they have performed at, he should be more professional. Personally I do not believe Evans is very good with young players, he seems to prefer older pros that still connect to his old methods, or players that know how to react to a manager like him.
Overall I think he is a poor leader that is coming to the end of his time and the club would be better if him and Raynor were not our management team. The problem is we have very poor leadership throughout the club, it is financially managed well and we should be grateful for that, but financial management is not leadership and for me SE and PR fit perfectly into TS little world and it will take a lot for him to kick out his mates.
I am travelling a 1000 miles to see the game on Saturday, so I hope SE & PR get us a good result and we see a better performance.
    Pretty much agree with that

It's the old maxim - a good manager in any context will get the best performance of the majority of any team they manage. Individuals within the tem may clash with a manager's style but that will always happen. This is normally a minority in a good manager's team though as good managers tend to have skills to adapt and personalise their management to get good performance from the majority.

Evans looks to be very much struggling with this, and it looks to be devaluing what I would have said at the start of the season was our best player.

Hope he pulls it round though. Just very hard to see looking at the performances on the pitch.

What we are seeing are dinosaur methods from a management duo who are well past their "best before dates."
Not many people respond well to bullying tactics and being publicly humiliated particularly by people who hardly deserve respect for their own behaviour.
I guess some people will say his methods have been successful before but things move on and we have to remember he had the luxury of an incredibly high turnover of players last time around which he doesn't have the luxury of now.
There seems to be a real toxicity in the club at the moment so it will be interesting to see what happens in January if TS keeps his mate in charge until then.

    There are and they do.

General management and man management theories are all well and good but I'm pretty sure nobody on here has actual experience of the nuances involved in modern professional football management (nor do SE/PR I hear some say!). If it was that easy then ELK's lists of hirings and firings would be much shorter.

They don't. If they are suddenly not at the standard they performed previously there are several reasons; played out of position; a change in style of play doesn't suit them, or they for some reason develop an attitude problem and can't be bothered. Whatever the reason is its for the manager to get the best out of the players.

Cam doesn't go from being one of our better players and one of our few saleable assets last year to error strewn and not up to L1 standard. Something is not right there.

To add another name into the ring, Hungbo. My Udders supporting colleague watched the 2nd half of the Bradford tin pot match and said he didn't recognise Hungbo. He said for them he was great, a real threat and they wanted to sign him. He played on the right, cutting in on his left and scored or set up several goals from that position. But he then mentioned who the manager was then. Warnock, no one better for getting the best out of players.

This is quite straightforward. Both players deserved to be dropped because they were playing badly. They can now have a period of quiet self reflection. No player is bigger than the club or indeed the manager. Ferguson and Clough would have done exactly the same. So what's the beef all about?

SE now looks like he's getting rid of Hak's now by a different way. They won't start talks about a new contract until the team is in a better position.....wtf. So they're happy to take the money and let SE sign another 30 something/old mate.

Don't you try to keep your better players and build round them.............??

Quite amazing what's going on in the club. Our players from last season, and the better players in the club just now, just dumped! Ok they may not be playing their best football which is surely down to one person who we know is a big bully. Why oh why did TS bring him back? It is certainly spoiling my football watching just now and if Evans stays it will just get worse.
