More of the same at Mansfield hopefully.
    Well done
YAK, a big up for you fella. I know you don't personally like Evans but you are man enough to give praise where it was richly deserved today.

Taken from the ' Today's Limerick' thread.

'When The Cobblers arrive don't you fret
We'll give 'em a good game I'll bet
We'll push 'em and shove 'em
    Even prod and boss 'em
Until we find the back of their net'

Well who'd have thought it? Found the back of their net three times today.

    Didn't we do well?
    Good game, good game!!

Well done to all today, management team and players. Some good individual performances, everyone contributed and we actually played with width.
I have to qualify things by saying Northampton were incredibly poor though, probably the worst team we've had at NYS.....and that includes some of the earlier performances from ourselves!
Let's see where we go from here because there will be much rougher tests than this one.

Odoffin I've always said his best position it's centre back. He's good on the ball there. He's got shirt there now it's his to lose. Powell was on his game today.

You have always been correct on this.

Maybe today we saw the first "Green" shoots of recovery. A few weeks ago I asked players to be first to the ball, to bust a gut to find space, to get their head on crosses. I asked Mr Evans to be more vocal and take charge and to weed out players who want away or are underperforming. This might be happening. Better late than never. it was good to see forwards tracking back and tackling. It was good to see the wings being used. Again better late than never. This must now be the minimum standards we the fans demand. Well done Mr Evans

14th December, 4.05PM. "Steve Evans' Red and white army"! Finally the crowd got behind the team. Whether you like SE or not it was great to hear.
Excellent performance from everyone. Probably the first opponents we've dominated in the air all season. Easy to see why the Cobblers are struggling but we needed that performance.
Have to say, the Ref missed a blatant push on Eaves. Maybe a penalty and possible sending -off would have made for a tighter finish.

Much better today , still not 90 mins of exciting expansive football lol but much better . There weren?t many mistakes , we chased worked hard and stopped them playing and we also played some good stuff ourselves especially down the wings. Back four looked solid, I liked jules and odoffin together and we were a threat up the front and Green made a difference. Crowd was still flat but there were signs of life

Glad I made the trip over to see the family and got to the game. We were a lot better, some very good performances by quite a few players. Green was excellent playing in hole behind the front three, his work rate and first touch were at a different level. We played more football when Kelly came on, intelligent footballer, he does the simple things well helps us play. Three wins on the bounce and a clean sheet, hopefully we can go on a run now.

Better football today, in that we did play some football on the floor on our build-ups
in attacking, instead of the mainly Sunday league stuff we do, in lump it.
One bloke near me Dale prompted the crowd in encouraging the team on, fair dues
to him, in his solo efforts.
Oddofin was in his best position today, playing in central defence, in which Rugg has
    been calling for.
Hopefully after today, good results will follow.
