    Northampton Town Post Match Thoughs

Well it all went quiet on the match thread after 4:15 so I guess that's a sign of contentment? What's not to like about 3 goals for, 0 goals against and a lovely moment for Andre Green after his injury woes. A bit of breathing space now and even flirting with mid-table. Up The Millers, literally!

    Thoughts?

Still not convinced, and old same old. Wins a win though.

Great to win but no excitement for me, or the crowd at NYS it seems. Atmosphere dead at the ground according to my mate who was there.

    Played well from the off.
Knew it was going to be a good day when the flag didn't go up for the first. Sure JCH was offside, but he took it well. Utm

A deserved win and a better performance. Green rightly MOTM.

Crowd still very flat though despite the result and plenty of empty seats again. A string of performances more like today will hopefully change that.

Much better performance, we actually played a bit of football for a change. Phillips had nothing to do, the back four looked solid, James back to his best today. Midfield had control and the forwards looked dangerous. So happy days. But we have to qualify it by saying they were a really poor side, however did they win at Peterborough.
Getting the early goal obviously helps a lot. I too thought JCH looked off side but hey ho, they officials didn't have a clue all game.
Nice to see Green back, he could make a big difference for us, but can someone explain to me why he was playing inside and Nombe playing wide?

Been Green did well think there's more to come know I said I didn't rate him but I'm willing to have my mind changed! Decent performance couldn't see any weak links hope we can kick on now.

As I said on the match thread, had Nombe been on the receiving end of JCH's header he would have shot. Green looks, to me, to be a more intelligent player.

Green, in his second game, did what Nombe and Wilkes should be doing - an assist and goal.

Credit to the manager and team today. Good possession football. We looked organised and rightly won.
Green makes such a difference. Oddofin quality.
More of the same at Mansfield hopefully.
    Well done 👏🏻
