Very poor game. Last Saturday we had enough chances to win 3 games but today we could have played until next Saturday and still not scored.

Let?s hope we can get some incomings in this week.

Youre right about that and there is also a long list of outgoings needed as well.

Despite working 24/7 Sormaz has failed to clear the decks of anyone other than Marsh on loan but has been able to recruit Farrugia. He and his team need to be busy boys and girls before the end of the window. 8 or so days remaining i reckon.

This season has the possibility of fading out like a damp squib if there isnt a shake up. All the good work and progress over Xmas has been washed down the sink in the last two games.

To me Ethel the signing of Farrugia more or less summed up our lack of joined up thinking when it comes to building a squad and why the squad is so disjointed .

I've nowt against the lad , he may well prove to be a good signing but were we really in need of another LWB ?

We've several players that can play that role already at the club , Gent , O'Keefe , Earl , Cotter and Lofthouse .

I really don't get the recruitment strategy at all , we concede way too many goals and have done for over 18 months now and we've found it difficult to take the chances we create this season and the last half of last .

It seems pretty obvious to me where the deficiencies lie and yet we sign someone who plays in the part of the field where we can get by even if none of them are exactly Nicky Cadden .

Abroad for last couple of weeks and won?t be back until end of Feb - so didn?t see the game and out of touch to a large degree with what?s happening.
All I can judge by is from Doug?s comments.

Sounds like - can?t score (no change there then) so throw caution to the wind leaving the defence exposed (no change there then) and they nick a deserved win.

    Time and time again.
We did not replace the out and out goal scorers that left in the summer.
Because of that - Sormaz has cost the club dearly and should therefore leave.

And DC is not getting the best out of the players at the club.
    And needs to walk.

Stevenage played the mans game and were excellent at getting that foot in when it counted so well done to them.

We had no fluency from defence to attack and may I say this is where Mael de Gevigney comes in.

Into the last 19 games now and our coaches still dont know our best starting eleven.

Connell and Nwakali it doesn?t work with both and Connell needs resting but they won?t he?s worth nowt on bench.
We disagree on this one Poggy , I thought taking Connell off cost us big time, after he went off and Russell came on no one broke up the Stevenage attacks and they started to come through the middle more and more , having said that I thought they were the best defensive unit I have seen at Oakwell all season although we were dreadful going forward and were totally devoid of ideas but it was truly a dreadful watch with our substitutions making no impact on the game whilst theirs probably won them the game , having said all that I think if we had left Connell on it would have ended up as a goalless stalemate . Footnote, was the sponsors MOM a P take ? to give it to Phillips who was arguably the worst player on the pitch had to be a joke.

Connell first thought lately is to turn the ball backwards. Their goal was always coming, Why drop Russell? Don?t get it. The coach comes on and says after the game that he would have reacted to that performance as a fan?.Well, sort it out man, stop playing Watters, with DKD, Neither can beat their men, Humphrey?s can. He hold the ball up, Russell finds passes. The downturn in fortunes coincided with Roberts? return (coincidental?)??
Today was a non event, nothing but a waste of a Saturday afternoon.
Player of the match Adam Phillips? Nah. O Keefe, or ferrugia if I had to pick one, never heard a player of the match announced to so much Laughter and derision.! !
Fair play to Stevenage, they frustrated us and took their chance. They certainly weren?t the worst team to come here, but they had nowt to beat really, they defended what powder puff attack we mustered, and take their chance.
We had one shot on goal. ( Gent)? Woeful doesn?t do today Justice.

I think actually Animal, he may come good, but signs today of the players ignoring his good positioning, and passing to the right instead….. as you mentioned Cadden, it reminded me of the times he was ignored too….. Kane once preferring to put the ball out before pass to him….
I think this lot needs a full overhaul, not just a couple in up front…..

Interestingly the goal we conceded was the 15th we have conceded after 75 minutes this season the highest statistic in the four divisions. Yesterday late goal was not because we took Luca off in my opinion.

It seems to me the eleven on the pitch cannot adjust to the leaders tactics and or the tactics are wrong in seeing a game through. All this and it is fascinating seeing the dug out with orders be passed by all and sundry.

Too many cooks and all that.

Clarke found a decent formula by accident due to injuries which provided us with a bit of a decent run and then changed it to accommodate players returning and benching players that didn?t deserve it.

There doesnt appear to be a plan. To me it looks like the first consideration when looking for signings is are they free agents, free transfer or at the end of their contract. Then we show interest. Obviously DKD was an exception to this.

Were at the end of another window and theres little activity and that after chucking 6 points away in a promotion race.

For once I almost subscribe to YN's point of view.

    Summats not reight darn theer!
