A poor game where Barnsley were the better of the two sides on show, Roberts was excellent at the back whist Connel was the player who made the difference in the middle of the park , in my opinion the reds should have had 3 spot kicks with the last one being the clearest hand ball you will ever witness but the officials were like the football which was extremely second rate , Rotherham were simply awful and we were slightly better , we take the points and move on to Northampton , a win there and the hopes I fear will be falsely rekindled , we will see

Soft penalty but a certain handball ruled out so evened itself out.
Did it really cheers me up “NO”
Agree with that apart from the penalty. I thought it was a stonewall penalty and I think their keeper did too given his face as soon as he did it.

Had the claim on Phillips been given in the first half, that would?ve been a soft one for me but not the one we got.

    Agree with all that.

And you know what they say, it?s the hope that kills you?

You certainly are Animal - Madri Excepcional, enough to cheer anyone one up especially with a gentle Mediterranean breeze. Beats a beer garden on Pontefract Road every-time.

And obviously their fans aren't happy...
Saying things like sack the manager (Evans), the players should be ashamed of themselves, these are terrible performances, and the club have no ambition, etc.
This all sounds very very familiar to what we say most of the time lol.
Whether this has resurrected our Play off hopes, is doubtful to be honest. But it does keep things going, whiles there's still a chance mathematically. 👍

I didn't watch the game but it was a welcome result none the less .

We are in to having to bounce probably four or five consecutive wins together to take the season to game 46 or possibly put a 12 game unbeaten run together without too many draws .

With the best will in the world that looks a tall order .

One of the strikers is probably going to have to have a golden spell with 10 goals coming from now until game 46 which again looks unlikely .

Win the next two and I suppose you never know if other results land our way .

Can't help thinking that if the unthinkable happened and this group ended up in the championship somehow it would be worrying and I say that from a good place .

You should never turn your nose up at a promotion of course but dear me it would be a double edged sword .

    To say the least .

I understand what you are saying Animal but trust me we are light years from being promotion candidates , we as a club have to be working now to formulate an improved squad for Clarke to work with through the close season , whilst I am not tuned into our academy prospects I feel sure that now is the time to give any one who has the potential to step up next season some minutes and experience between now and the end of the season and I stress it is important that we keep Clarke and back him .

The question supporters have to ask themselves is - do we as supporters want promotion into the Championship ?

    As things stand - I don?t.

Reason being - if we got promoted then the owners will probably look on Sormaz and Clarke kindly and likely chose to keep them at the club.

Do we want to go into the Championship with those two in charge - I don?t.
I haven?t seen anything this season that gives me any confidence in relation to Sormaz getting the recruitment right - and Clarke getting the best out of the players he?s got.

If there is one silver lining that comes from this disastrous season it?s the owners learning a valuable lesson - if they are to create a new post of Director of Football then the person employed is vi.tally important to the clubs future so they have to be certain they get the right person.
