We knew what the pitch was like, it was the same for both teams. At the end of the day we were leaderless on and off the pitch, and got outfought once again by the Crowley's.. Whatever happens at the end of this season we need to have a bit of clear-out. There are too many players who are not good enough to clean George Abbotts boots. If Plymouth come back with an offer for Jatter, then i would snap their hands off..

I share that level of disappointment, in a way I'd have preferred to lose 0-2 really going for it, and least it would've shown they all understand the importance of these final matches.

A clear-out? Steady on, it might not be possible, very few players contracts end this summer. I suppose there's always a way though.

Jatta will have another spell where he looks incredible. Whatever happens, if we sell Jatta, it's important we sell high and not low

I wasn?t at the game yesterday so watched it on the dodgeh stick.
I listen to the opposition commentary and it was yet another opinion that Notts are the best footballing side they?ve witnessed.
We completely dominated the first 45 mins. But, for the majority of draws or defeats this season, we haven?t been ruthless enough when on top.

The only game we've deserved to lose was Salford away. Every other loss has been a game we could have won (unless I'm forgetting something). Ultimately, it's the teams who grind out results no matter what that get promoted.

Right on both counts I think.
Yesterday was the perfect test of our match-playing credentials - you're the better side but you have 45mins NOT to lose to a team with eyes on the play-off place you're holding.

Desperation helped us erase deficits against Boreham Wood and Chesterfield. I wonder how much of that there was yesterday, we seemed to go down far too meekly.

Can't fault the effort by the boys yesterday, Colchester defended doggedly and packed their defence

I'd say probably Wimbledon away too. In both cases they just dominated us physically in a way we couldn't deal with.

Hinchy wasn?t as forward thinking as Abbott but I thought he showed some real moments of quality on the ball, as he did in a brief showing against MK.

Same old story, we didn?t score when we were in top and paid the inevitable price, could still be playing now and be no closer to scoring.

I am slightly interested to see who would pick Jatta over Wootton now too.

    Agreed, Hinchy played pretty well
Unfortunately he's not in the class of George Abbott but then very few players in L2 are at his level

I would have Wootton any day. His hold up play was brilliant, whereas Jatta comes nowhere near. Wootton could also win headers, in comparison to Jatta.. I think we need 2 new aggressive type strikers for next season, whichever div we are in..
