I was under the impression that there is a cap of 8m quid for wage compensation paid by FIFA.

It's reasonable, however the impact of having a player on the field competing could be worth 3 or 4 places higher in the Prem. Each place up the league is worth 3m quid. 9-12m quid potential earnings also the difference between finishing in the Champions League or not.

Swings and roundabouts.

However, the whole 'international break' thing is so stupid. It doesn't make any sense at all.

Look at Bruno & Joelinton having to fly over to S.Korea and back stupid!

FIFA are constantly trying to earn more money as they only earn money 1 year in 4 at the WC Finals. All club managers hate their players going on international breaks in case they get injured or just that the don't compete at the same level due to fatigue in the matches after being away.

There are 2 weeks in September, 2 weeks in October, 2 weeks in November and another 2-4 weeks back end of the season.

The simple way to generate massive revenue for FIFA every year, without expanding the Club World Cup that no one wants, is by removing all the 'International Breaks. Truncate the domestic seasons, play from September to end of March leaving April through to the end of May early June for an annual International Tournament. All the friendlies can be played pre-tournament and 1 year in every 4 that tournament is the Finals.

It's a win win all the way around.

I really don't understand how this hasn't been figured out by the money grabbing crooks in the FA or FIFA. Mind blowing.
