I think the meetings set up by the club for former players who are now suffering dementia needs to be recognised as a very positive achievement by RUFC.
The regular gatherings of past players has been very therapeutic and improved their general wellbeing, just by having a cup of tea and a chat with old team mates about old times.
I understand Sheffield United and other clubs were quick to set up similar group meetings for their ex players after seeing the benefits.
I think it was Breckin who set it up to start with and deserves the credit, but it was still arranged through Rotherham united.
