Thread: O/T "These censures are deemed necessary "

    Consider this

Andrew always was Randy Andy and had a deep attraction to freeloading with wealthy perople. In this lifestyle he’s going to end up at dubious parties and liaisons with women most would call prostitutes. All entirely consensual.

So he could be having a whale of a time without entirely knowing the deep dark stuff that others are doing around him so he becomes guilty by association

Then the media latch onto him and we get the media circus takes over, leaving a guy that is innocent in law but guilty in the frenzy of public opinion.

That's an interesting take Grist and not beyond the realms of possibility .

I would however question your attempt to paint Mountbatten as the victim even if he fell short of breaking the law .

I'm sure you'd agree with me that royalty comes with the very best standards in behaviour and morals , the Randy Andy tag is something you'd probably get away with as a 20 year old Prince and you'd probably even then only get away with it in different times gone by , the kind of times when the Sunday Sport was popular and Benny Hill was on our tv screens .

Mountbatten wasn't a 20 year old Prince when he associated himself with Epstein and the days of Benny Hill are long gone , the public expect higher standards of behaviour and that doesn't only apply to Mountbatten .

The days of pinching the young girls backside in the office at work and nobody raising an eyebrow are also long gone .

I would expect to receive instant dismissal and it's also right that Mountbatten is sacked from his own family business .

This is all hearsay and there is very little evidence to support what has been said. However, Mountbatten and his wife, Edwina, were known to have had an open marriage where they both had other partners.
I was responding to Spuddy seeming to believe he was just given the name, according to the post I quoted. I also don?t know why Animal hs just started calling him ?Mountbatten? as that is a family name, not just his. Maybe he should be known as ?TAFKAP?, The Aristocrat Formerly Known As Prince?

It?s all guesswork really but essentially you?ve got a guy from a sheltered and privileged background not a chiselled lad from Rawmarsh that?s had a few rounds with slack Alice that can see the traps and pitfalls

The media circus has been quite interesting though, the way they latch on like a pit bull and shake the corpse. Some of it is quite subtle in the way they setup Andrew as a hate figure. Take the BBC for example, when they show pictures of him he?s always frowning or scowling, did the guy never smile? It really becomes the pantomime scenario of booing the villain

My personal take is that the very last thing about Mountbatten is that he's led a sheltered life , privileged certainly and privilege buys you tickets to let's say certain party's in certain circles .

I'd imagine Mountbatten would be the one taking the Rawmarsh kid under his wing and introducing him to these party's .

Pulling the village bike down the club on a Saturday night is a world away from the party's Epstein threw , the optics of sophistication , celebrities , fine food and drink shouldn't hide the sinister acts that were carried out .

You should get a job with the South Yorkshire Police. They used to ignore a lot of potential cases because they saw the victims as being 'women most would call prostitutes. All entirely consensual".

I don't think it would be the worst decision for the King and Queen to step down and hand the monarchy over to William and Kate and have a major reset .

I'm not particularly in favour of royalty but at the same time I don't think getting rid of them right now is a great time in UK history to do it and even then I think it needs to be a voluntary decision from the Royals themselves rather than pushing them out and creating even more division in the country .

I think there's some value in a younger couple more in tune with the country taking over with the old guard out of the way .

A re-brand and image is definitely needed and with the country losing it's importance and influence internationally it may help improve our standing .

We underestimate how other country's and their governments love our royals when it's working well .
