I bet Bostock, Williams and Whitwell would love to join the likes of Millwall too if it means more opportunities and minutes. Millwall don?t even have better players but are organised and consistently deliver which is down to the manager and it tells you something when Taylor is doing a great job.

I will give Ramsay my full support despite thinking it?s another cheap option. We will see.

I would also bet Collyer does a great job in his new venture and again that?s down to the manager there if he does. Man Utd were simply brilliant against Man City with a few tweeks so what does that tell us?

To be fair to Taylor, he was miles more ready than Bostock, Williams and Whitwell. He had 2 seasons in league one, the first for a relegation threatening side, the latter a promotion contender.

I think he was more than ready for us and the club knew that, we just needed a sale.

Collyer is down to Mason, but I thought he was unlucky to get injuries every time he was breaking into the team. I note he wasnt fit Saturday for Hull and he probably isnt what we need anyway at the minute as we need someone more sturdy. Every one of our midfielders gets injured periodically.

We need another Mulumbu and Yacob Matt plus a Gareth in defence! 😭

    Agreed.
Fundamentally we have very serious systemic problems running throughout the club structure. Possibly going back to the take over by the communist guy a while back.
We sell potentially decent players to turn a quick profit but it prevents the club from building or laying out a clear going forward strategy.
There doesn't appear to be any vision for the club beyond survival. So the on book damage inherited by the current owner could be very serious.
As long as that overhangs, then we can expect to remain a low to middle range championship club for the next few seasons.

Ensuring we kept within the rules was imperative, hence selling the players we did even if not for as much money as we had hoped, it was definitely a buyers market.

This season is a complete write off and avoiding relegation is the only thing that matters.
The owner has infered that come the summer we can start dealing again, but that may be because we can offload some high wage earners.
I don't expect much from next season either so top half will probably suffice.
Season after we need to up our game or the support will drop off.

Still think this season we have the ability to finish top ten. Millwall do not have better players than us in my opinion but a very good experienced manager. To say they love Taylor tells a story. Just need the odd loan - bed in the odd youngster and regain confidence. That?s all! Look what Carrick did to Man U with the same players - played on the front foot and they were brilliant! Just shows what a manager can do.

Support already dropping with many empty seats at home and away allocations not selling out.

Just need confidence and what LB says the rub of the green.

I've tried to be positive all season but it hasn't worked so far but hopefully a win against Norwich tonight may lift the gloom.
