The ensuing Humanitarian Catastrophe is hard to put into words.

The scale of explosive ordnance has translated into unprecedented destruction:
Building and Infrastructure Damage: By the first quarter of 2024, satellite analysis confirmed at least 69% of all Gaza buildings had been damaged or destroyed, rising to 80% in northern regions such as Gaza City and Jabalia. This encompasses hospitals, schools, water and power facilities, and entire neighborhoods20.

Casualties: By April 2025, reported fatalities exceeded 46,000, including almost 18,000 children, and at least 110,000 injured, with thousands more still missing under the rubble. The Lancet and Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor studies estimate the real numbers may be higher due to inaccessible collapsed structures and delays in rescue and reporting2426.
Widespread Displacement: Over 1.9 million Palestinians, or 80% of Gaza's population, have been internally displaced according to the UN and Al Jazeera's latest tally, with many living in temporary, unsafe shelters or tent cities.

    3. Historical Comparisons
Multiply sourced evidence places the bombing of Gaza in a unique historical context:
World War II Comparisons: The total tonnage of bombs dropped on Gaza now exceeds the combined bomb tonnage used against the cities of Dresden, Hamburg, and London in WWII. For reference, the Allies dropped approximately 3,900 tonnes on Dresden, 9,000 tonnes on Hamburg, and 19,000 tonnes on London during the Blitz—totalling roughly 32,000 tonnes. By contrast, Gaza has seen over 70,000 tonnes dropped in less than a year, in a territory smaller than Philadelphia13.
Nuclear Yield Equivalency: The Hiroshima atomic bombs equivalent yield was approximately 12–15,000 tonnes of TNT. Human rights organizations and independent academics have noted the explosive yield dropped on Gaza is now equivalent to 4–6 times that of Hiroshima13.

Intensity and Saturation: When adjusting for area and population, the daily and per capita/explosives per square kilometre figures for Gaza are exponentially higher than even the most intense campaigns of modern history, including the U.S. campaign in Vietnam and the bombing of Laos and Cambodia.

It’s impossible for me to carry with this research, my blood pressure has gone way beyond safe, but please mon ami, carry on with your denial and deflection techniques. It’s what all supporters of Israel do.
It's war mon ami, **** happens, and if you don't like it, don't start one.

I see that the IDF has warned the Hamas shiny suits in Doha or wherever that, after eliminating Abu Obeida, they're next. They're all dead men walking, Mossad doesn't forget, none of them will die in their beds of old age.

A strip not much bigger than the Isle of Man has more bombs dropped on it than ever before in the history of warfare and the world stands by and watches.

FFS don't get me going please?

"They were arrested on Tuesday, according to the Metropolitan Police, which is when campaign group Defend Our Juries – who have organised a series of demonstrations in support of Palestine Action – said five of its spokespeople had been arrested.

The charges come after Anthony Harvey, 59, appeared in private at Oban Sheriff Court in Scotland earlier on Wednesday accused of addressing a private meeting to encourage support for a proscribed organisation – Palestine Action."

    What have we come to?

Are these people who have been arrested for supporting Palestine Action etc. actually Palestinians? Evidently not, therefore I have no sympathy whatsoever because they are supporting a terrorist group , therefore they are connecting themselves to that group.
Why don't they just keep their noses out of things and they wouldn't have been arrested.
They should arrest everyone who supports terrorism because terrorists breed violence, as can most clearly be seen by the actions of Hamas in Israel.

Yep, there is no doubt that Hamas should not have done what they did.
Mind you, those rich people that own all the munitions factories throughout the world are certainly not complaining. Perhaps they advised Hamas that it would be a good idea to do what they did.

Your concern, BT, is no different to lots of people, however, all it does is upset you and raise your blood pressure. Just accept that you have no part in this because it is all manufactured by those with money and they will continue earning money from the various tragedies throughout the world and they know that, no matter what you think or do, or no matter how much international recognition there is, it will have no effect whatsoever.
Stop making yourself ill. Life goes on and the Clarets will still be playing Liverpool after the international break.

Best not to even comment anymore. Protest and go directly to jail and don't even think about collecting ?200.00 on the way in.

Detective Chief Superintendent Helen Flanagan, head of operations for the Counter Terrorism Command, said: “While we cannot comment further on these specific cases now that they have been charged, I do want to reiterate that there are potentially serious consequences for those who are found guilty of an offence under the Terrorism Act.

“I therefore urge anyone considering showing public support towards Palestine Action, or indeed any other proscribed group, to reconsider.

“We know there is a great strength of feeling towards the situation in Palestine and thousands have been able and continue to be able to express their views through protest and demonstrations, without breaking counter-terrorism laws.

“Palestine Action is clearly proscribed as a terrorist group, and those showing support for this particular group, or encouraging others to do so can expect to be arrested, investigated and prosecuted.”

I call this the boomerang thread because no matter how far way it is thrown from Gaza it just lands right back there. The only likely change is when a General Election takes place in Israel. The Israeli public can then choose to back Netanyahu’s existing war or vote to remove him and the religious zealot parties from power.

Netanyahu will cling to power as long as he can Sir Outwood. From what I can read the Israelis are split amongst themselves. 50% want to kill all Palestinians whilst the other 50% want a ceasefire and peace.

Naftali Bennett’s emerging party overtook Likud in the latest election poll published by Channel 13 on Tuesday, marking a shift in the political landscape.

According to the survey, the “Bennett 2026” party would receive 23 seats, while Likud, led by Benjamin Netanyahu, would win 22.
