Could be shyte but there’s rumours flying around that it’s Michael O'Neill we are going for.
Did well at Northern Ireland the first time but that was a while ago.Doesn’t seem to have done much since?
A lot of places saying it is Michael O'Neil. He was supposedly the person coming in the summer, but all been brought forward with Warnock stepping down.
My only concern at the moment is three points on Wednesday night.
He had 3 years at Stoke after that saved them from relegation from the championship and then nothing spectacular, just lower half of the table mediocrity. No idea if they should have been doing better or if just keeping them there was an achievement. Did well at Shamrock Rovers prior to the national team job. All Wikipedia mind. Who knows? Are we really in a position to get in someone with a glittering managerial career or a perfect record?
Stoke seem to be have been lower half of the table mediocrity in the championship since they got relegated from the Premier League. They don’t really look like they have the money to go for a promotion push and it doesn’t seem like O’Neill did any better or worse than the managers before or after him.
He did well at Shamrock Rovers like you said and also the Northern Ireland job the first time round so maybe he is a good choice.Sounds like Cormack has been a fan for a long time.
Apparently was Cormacks choice to replace McInnes when he went to talk to the Huns in 2017/18.
