You're just assuming the worst of AFC.
From what I've heard, the council & planners had told AFC they had all the information they required.
Now they allegedly want more info at the last minute.
Therefore the council/planners at fault.
AFC can't publicly say it as they need them onside.

From what I heard the council put the meeting off until September because they required more information from the club,in that meeting all they got was the we need a new stadium cos our old ones **** speech,the it's embarrassing we don't have our own training ground speech and the it's good for the whole city if we move there speech.When the council raised concerns they got the we will worry about that later sort of answer.

I would imagine the council have told them they need to plan the whole thing better or it will get rejected,which is what they should have done in the first place.

At the least the nimbys made an erse of it though.

Rather the club have all the due dillengence completed and have robust compelling presentation to the Council than get turn up and hope for the best.
