    Huh? Really?

Leeds are owned by the San Francisco 49ers Enterprises group, with investors including American golfers Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas. Red Bull has a minority stake in the club
They were 100% owners than sold some to red bull and investors. I could be wrong but they still own 55 to 60% Red bull around 25% and the rest investors.

Yes, I know Oz. I was being facetious in answer to wtf, which is hard to do online. By the way, oz, I am in Perth to attend my niece's wedding and to take care of some of my mum's affairs. She is over 90 now and unwell. So we are in the same continent. About 2000 miles away from you.

Klopp & Red Bull may have a story to tell yet.
    Mean while.

Glasgow Rangers have now confirmed for the first time that they 'are in' negotiations with American investors, including the San Francisco 49ers, about a possible takeover of the club.

Neither party have mentioned a timeline for any deal to be concluded, though sources close to negotiations previously said a deal was expected to be completed between April and June 2025.

    A statement yesterday issued said.
'Rangers and its existing controlling shareholders are in productive conversations with the two lead members of the Consortium, Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises Global Football Group, about the potential for the Consortium to acquire control of the club and to inject additional capital.
These discussions reflect a shared recognition of the importance of Rangers FC's long-term direction, ambitions and management.'

Paraag Marathe, the Leeds United chairman and the force behind 49ers Enterprises - the investment wing of the 49ers NFL franchise - is a key player in the prospective Rangers takeover.

Whilst Farke has done incredibly well this season I?m still not convinced he can overcome past history in the PL and Bundesliga and adapt his tactics and management style to the top leagues where flexibility of approach and using the whole squad have much more of a premium.

Falling out spectacularly with the chairman in public doesn?t help and his recent comments about not being backed in January aren?t likely to help.

They need to stay up so whatever is necessary I am sure they will do.

Interesting podcast with Eddie Gray where he was pretty clear but in his very polite and measured tones that the squad needs to be upgraded.

If, as appears to be the case, you know the actuality wrt the LUFC ownership, of what relevance is the performance of the 49-ers NFL franchise to LUFC when those from the states to management of our club have next to no experience of Englush football?

I would have thought the impending departure of Kinnear, the only senior management person providing continuity and significant league football management expertise, is of greater concern?

Mourinhos representation Gestifute owned by Jorge Mendes, considered one of the most influential football agents in the world has quite a large client base of French players & coaches have now gone very quiet on their latest blog page news currently.

Inside word is that Southgate, now 54, wants to be motivated for the next 10 to 15 years of his life and still lives close to Leeds in Harrogate & Liam Rosenior at Strasbourg have both been sounded out too recently.

Cannot fathom if this has direct Leeds connections or Rangers or leaks actually coming direct from inside ER ?

Farke or Mourinho to Rangers odds anybody ?
Dunno why Leeds have not quickly quashed rumours by offering Farke an improved or extended contract & put all shenanigans to bed if their is NO problem.

Perhaps I should start a 'Southgate out ' thread, in anticipation.

"Dunno why Leeds have not quickly quashed rumours by offering Farke an improved or extended contract & put all shenanigans to bed if their is NO problem.".....Perhaps there IS a problem? As HO mentions, Farkes record in keeping clubs in the PL doesn't inspire confidence and some of his behaviours in the current season are out of place for someone who seeks to manage a PL squad effectively.

There is always the possibility, now we have been promoted, that our current owners see Rangers as a more rapid route to European football and the financial gains that would bring, and would be willing to offload LUFC (at a PL "premium" price0, to the likes of Red Bull, who have consistently shown the ability and willingness to get involved for the longer term?
