He (Baldwin) should also be given the maximum fine available. And if he feels like moving we should put together an alternative version of his 'moments' and see if anybody wants him. Fine player but concentration span of a goldfish. Still the best of the the back three which started tonight.

Lue was an excellent man manager but limited tactician (no formation change, which you'd expect the best to be able to do) and the rot had set in before he left once we had been worked out. Maynard has been unable to stem the tide and has actually accelerated it with no clue what to do (unsurprisingly). I feel for him, but I feel for the fans even more. He has to go.

When did this incident with Baldwin occur?
That is really bad especially after he made such another appalling error for that goal.

Yes the guy picking the team.

Remember we were slipping under LW too, funny that as last 2 home games were 3-0 / 5-0.

Nobody can defend this tonight nobody its so bad its untrue.

I'm really worried about next season now.

When LW was appointed, I didn't know who he was, but as soon as I saw some interviews and read up about him I felt positive and I had a really good feeling. It was intuitive.
When we appointed Maynard I basically had no feelings whatsoever. Nothing intuitive and nothing that bred excitement.
Always listen to your gut. At this point my gut says SM can't have long left now. He's out of his depth and will end up getting us relegated next season. Or am I being too knee jerk?
Warnock would have sorted this lot out, even if it was just until the end of the season.
Who cares if it didn't fit the philosophy for a few months? It's better than watching 3 or 4 goals get banged in against you every week.
L2 IS A DIFFERENT ANIMAL.....THE BROTHERS REALLY NEED TO TAKE THIS ON BOARD.

I couldn't agree more. I thought SM was totally uninspiring, but I couldn't have cared less provided he could find a way of doing the job. It seems obvious now that appointing him was a massive punt, which has gone spectacularly wrong.

I honestly don’t know if Maynard’s the man or not but what I do know is we do need an overhaul in the summer.
Out of the 6 odd defenders and 3 keepers I think there’s only Baldwin I keep. I think the problem is unfortunately they’re not good enough and their confidence and desire has ebbed away and that was before LW left. The frightening thing it’s not just them that are struggling too.

It's no surprise that some of the players have been demotivated since LW left. I cast my mind back to the first video of SM and his helpers running a training session, and I remember wondering then how the players (especially the more experienced ones) felt about the shouts of guidance and encouragement from folk with such uninspiring track records and lightweight personalities. It's how professional football works... players don't usually openly rebel against the managers that are foisted on them, they just go with the flow. The end result is there for all to see though. I didn't think it at the time, but now I'm wondering how much better it would have been if they'd just given JOB the job.

Seeing Grimsby in trouble should serve as a warning as to what could happen to Notts, they finished 11th last season after winning the NL play offs the year before.

Why does he need to change formations Klopp/Pep dont do it very often.

I know they have top players but they drill drill drill players on tactics/systems so they dont panic if losing.

This bloke panics changes tactics/formations and did it after 19 mins against Crewe which shows he got it badly wrong in the first place.

Football is a simple game really but idiots can complicate it.

It’s not the team selection. I don’t think SM is the man for us but he is hamstrung by a bunch of fairies.

I don’t think there is a player at the club who was more aggressive than the whole Sutton 11. That is 9 goals conceded against a club that will be in the National League next season. They are ****. They are a big side and we couldn’t lay a glove on them.

Harry Smith is arguably the biggest prick in football (apart from Baldwin) and we made him look like a 6ft 7in Pele.
