You also have to have a Manager who will play them, we have shipped all our best young players out on loan. If a big club comes in for them this summer who would blame them for leaving. Better to be loaned out on 2k a week than loaned out on 200

I can't really blame any young kid for seeing the bright lights and wanting to go for it. It shows ambition & a confidence in their own ability. They should however, be being advised far better, not so much by agents (who are after only one thing) but family. Parents should be able to see the risk involved. To let a kid of 17/18 disappear miles away from home to another clubs academy with no guarantee of ever becoming a first team regular is crazy. As has been said, the amount of kids who have been a success compared to those who have done the square root of f*ck all is there for all to see.

I remember at the time that Allan was being advised by some @rsehole of an agent while Stretch had his Dad acting for him. I would argue that at the time talent wise there was absolutely nothing between them but who can now be seen as a success and who is not?

Agree with the above, nothing wrong if they are going to the bright lights to join a first team squad but its very risky going through the academy system where only around 1 or 2 in hundred make it into the first team.

I don't mind players "chasing the money" if they had proved themselves or at least played a good amount in the first team. That would at least stand them well if they were to go down south. Learn your trade, gain the experience before trying to make an impact down south. Some of these clubs have so many academy players that it must be very hard to break through never mind get anywhere near the first team. So many get thrown about on loan all over the place.

    Translated as:

Around there they tell us that it is Dundee United.

A Scottish Premier team has formally asked about Wesly Decas. It is confirmed to me by a 100% reliable source.

The day I play golf will be the day I support the Fun. F*ck that. Was simply having a day off mate. The thought of us potentially replacing Jamie Robson dragged me back. 😁
