BT ---that begs the question ---is it the government or, as Norder intimates, is it way beyond governments? Because last March our MPs voted to extend those 'Emergency Powers' for another six months. A quite large group of Tory MPs voted against the extension and asked Labour MPs to support them and vote against the extension as well. If Labour had voted against the extension the government would have been defeated and there would be no 'Emergency Powers', but they didn't they voted for the extension.

So the answer to your question BT, why are we subjected to 'Emergency Powers', is because Labour MPs voted to allow the government those 'Emergency Powers'. And very soon the government will be asking for a further extension, and Labour will vote it through again, and when they do please don't come on here moaning about it, and asking why, oh why, are we subjected to 'Emergency Powers', the answer will be the same, because cretinous Labour MPs voted for them.

And do try to keep up mon ami, I can't keep explaining absolutely everything to you.
