I'm gonna have a quick read through of the comments during the game over a nice cup of tea now.

I'm expecting some absolute beauties from some of the usual pitchfork carrying rollercoaster fans . Should be an entertaining read

You’re not wrong. The ones aimed at Swale were my particular favourites it, like you say, the usual suspects don’t disappoint!

There are some absolute gems in there as expected. But no need to quote some of the best , the games over we fluked a win despite the manager not because of him and the players weren't to blame for the poor performance in any way shape or form again that's on the manager#noagenda

Onto the next game, let's all hope lady luck is on our side again and we can get another 3 points.

I remember being in the chatroom when it happened - in fact I think I had involvement in the promise being made! I think I said "I'll eat my thumb if Notts get anything from this game" and then Drew made his pledge in response. Then Notts made it 3-2and I recall Kevin Smith scoring a last gasp equaliser, which has to be the best thing he did as I can't remember much else. Cue near naked Drew on what I think was a charity walk to Mansfield. Credit to him for doing it - I still have my thumb!
Thanks for the info Slocky. I never used the chatroom, but it's quite possible that the comment was made in there initially and then found it's way on here. I'm quite impressed that at my age I can remember something from a decade ago!

Like most on here I am pleased we won. But it is difficult viewing atm. We looked well beaten in the second half. Other than Roberts efforts we looked second best and we shud remember all our goals were set pieces. There is something wrong I think we all know that wether its the manager or the team formations on the pitch I cant decide but something is wrong and its no good ignoring it. I really want us to win this league and get back to the football league but my brain tells me we wont based on what I see on the pitch? I want things to change so we can get back up but I think we are where we are this season and we are going to have to run with it as it is. NA said after the game he doesnt envisage bringing anymore new players in so we have to see this for what it is.
I would definitely change to a 352 formation and we have the players to do that. We need to control the middle of the field and we need that extra body to do that. We cannot do it without accepting Roberts wont play wing back he cant do that and neither can Enzio but I would definietely try Roberts as one of the 2 upfront letting him have a free role. Something has to change soon or I see us just making the numbers up in the league

Agree Kelton something isn't clicking in recent times and as you would expect and hope there are a plethora of views and opinions as to what needs to change with formation, team selection and approach.

However I don't see scoring all 3 of the goals from set pieces as a negative. Far from it in fact especially as we've been rightly complaining how many we concede from set plays it's lovely that the boot is on the other front and it's our set pieces that worked .... 3 times.

By all accounts we were crap in the main yesterday and rescued by two late goals. I'm more interested to see how he does the next 3 games then scoring points off each other on here. It didn't prove one side or the other right yesterday, yes we won but the performance still was pretty poor by all accounts. I think we should wait and see over the next few weeks to see if the performances improve or was it papering over the cracks. Jury still out but keep winning and it can stay out ha ha.
