Harsh? A player who can't hack it here, who has contributed next to nothing in terms of goals and assists whilst playing for a struggling la liga side, and is (supposedly) being regarded as a Summerville replacement. Not harsh in the slightest, just less of a "looking at the world through rose-tinted glasses" is all. Desperation time signing, nothing more nothing less, and will be as significant for LUFC as Gyabi was.

Not sure Silver deserves stick as without him we would have languished in second division obscurity. He and Forherby made a great double act and under him we built the East Stand which is the one bit of the stadium not looking like it belongs in a retro 1970s detective series or about to fall down.

Yes we sold off a fair few players but that was partly down to Wilkins too and under him we built the academy which had produced so many good players - Woodgate, Smith, Milner, Cook, Delph, Kewell, Gray etc.

Cousins definitely didn’t seem to have a clue in the 1980s but there also wasn’t a big queue of rich benefactors looking to jump in either.

We could definitely do with a Fotherby character now.

    Large Raziani or Little Willie.
Be surprised if we have both.

Believe you slagged Bielsa and Rapha too when we first signed them - hey ho
Thing is, I haven't (slagged every player off). Most supporters weren't enamoured of the decision to sign Diouf, but I thought he was worth the chance, proved right. Bellucci was a similar case and same result, same with Alioski.

As for Bielsa I'm on thecord as having admitted I was wrong. And Raphina? Find a post that supports your accusation.

Like I said earlier, my posts regarding Ortas "recruitment" and that of the Yank-driven owner(s) stands and had the club been more aligned to my more sceptical view of what the newcomers offered we'd be around £200m better off and as likely as not still in the PL. But don't let facts stand in your way, let's just carry in with "hope triumphing over expectation", hmmmm?

Whatever - but why not let things out instead of the cocktail of doom/gloom and I’m always right when we’ve just established you are no.
