Aye I suppose you are on topic...Creaney was a decent striker in a very poor Celtic team but I had no time for Cascarino who was a complete dud...if you want to talk about quality Celtic strikers then the likes of McAvennie, Nicholas, McGee, Walker, McClair would be the ones from about that era!
I was there when he scored his first goal for you v us at Parkhead. And then he got sent off.

    You won 3-1 that day.
Aye at the old Celtic Park and did he deck Levein with a punch??

Henrik Larrson only cost A?600000 or so didnt he? He had done little of note and certainly wasnt a proven CL goal scorer. What would that be worth now A?1-1.5million?

I cant understand this clamour to spend big, when the way ahead for cellick and other teams is to unearth gems then sell them on.

PS I'm getting more sensible as the thread goes on

Larsson was £650k from Feyenoord and what a signing he proved to be...spending big is a dangerous game for the likes of Celtic but unearthing gems like Wanyama, Van Dijk, Commons is not easy.

Aye you seem to have swallowed a couple of sensible pills!

We don't need Griffiths to win the league. It'll be another collecting a wage who will maybe start 1 game in 3, it would be a totally unnecessary signing.
I think Celtic need a proven goal-scorer to replace Hooper??
Is Leigh Griffiths a proven goalscorer, though?

He has nowhere near the ability of Hooper. Signing strikers around this price hasn't worked well for us - it could be argued only Hooper was a re

I think if this Norwegian midfielder is any good then that will make a big difference to the team as for me its the center of the midfield has been the problem and that's whats caused problems for all the players upfront and out wide for us

If he solves that problem we will likely see the strikers we have scoring goals

We will still need to buy a striker though
