you are right MouldyGenitalia that a complete overhaul is risky, infact very risky.

financially its not too bad as we are in a fortunate position of most being out of contract and can be released we're not stuck with lots like last summer.

but is the risk of a mass change any worse than the risk of just hoping alot of these badly performing, injury prone, out of form and confidence team of players will magically turn into excellent L2 players.

Is dropping to L2 somehow going to suddenly turn Berrett, Noble and thirlwell from the slowest, most ploddiest one-dimentional midfield into a top class dominating L2 Midfield?

midfield for me needs the biggest looking at, the last 2 years it's been always about the defence and the attack because the stats say them areas needed looked at, but is our bigger problem that the midfield helps neither the defence, nor attack because its been dreadful and lazy for a long time.

In our dire financial situation we can't afford to keep crocks, we need to be able to rely on players to give us a big chunk of a season, barring major injury of course. Surely that rules Thirlwell, Robson and O'Hanlon out of the equation. CMW will be a good player in League Two. Gillespie, Chantler and...well now I'm really struggling. It may be a high risk strategy but I reckon it's better than the alternative, big, big clearout, let's start again...dare I say, with a new manager, preferably.

    I'd keep the following
    Potts
    Noble
    Symington
O'Hanlon (only because he'd be stable at D4 level)
    CMW

The rest can go including all coaching staff and everyone of the BOD.

This has been coming for three years and certainly since that clown Abbott was given a contract extension.

I'm leaning towards Nobby's point of view in terms of Berrett also. I even think his touch, passing and how slow he is in making a decision with the ball he'd struggle in Division Four. Complete and utter trash and to think some people were bleating on about him being a Championship player.

Why do people want Thirlwell as a player coach when he's never done it before?
Is it so he can teach everyone to pass it sideways&backwards all day and how not to pick up midfield runners whilst also waving his arms about and pointing just like Chimbonda does to make it look like they're doing something other than getting torched.

The next part of Blue Blunder will be announced soon to deflect criticism of the Manager&m

Whoever comes and goes, one of our priorities MUST be to find a dead-ball specialist. Speculative free-kicks and predictable corners should be a thing of the past. A decent one could be worth 10 or more goals a season.

Hello Everybody. I've been viewing the mass hysteria board for a while but am missing the sensible people.
I don't think anyone will get a new contract that's out of contract. The only one I expected was Noble but he's off to other parts and doesn't seem too upset about it.
A big clear out and start again. Mr Nixon is excited about that so we must be too.
Lots of reading between the lines of his interview suggest that they were not too pleased with Chantler over his fitness last season and are less than pleased with the manager but are prepared to give him a chance rather than have another contract to pay up as with the previous two.
