    Indeed we did. Crying shame he never got to shout it at a World Cup or the Euros.

    I think McFadden one of the most exciting players to watch recent years for club and country. His return was a surprise after a long 'injury' absence and came as a surprise to many. However, it came at a high cost and IMO season 2013/14 was financial drain as often absent thru injury .. we saw the McFadden we remembered in glimpses. With benefit of hindsight perhaps should not have retained his services for a second year and used his wage to attract or retain a play, i.e. Higginbotham. I prefer to remember him first time around as a player of exceptional quality.
