I feel a bit nauseous and slightly arouse by the thought! :/
I hope you mean like this now!
Back on topic I am thinking I may be needing a minutes silence!!!!
Well this Stand up for Lee Rigby seems to have the backing off many Rams and QPR fans. The facebook site as now hit nearly 1000 likes. It will either go at 22mins or not..
Some off you have stated your reasons to oppose ie shall we stand for every sad tragic loss off life? My answer to that is a very definite and resounding NO ! off course not, that would be plain daft.
However the tragedy that befell an innocent British soldier walking the streets in broad daylight. Where he should have been safe from enemies. Is without doubt worthy in my eyes... And his brutal murder should NEVER BE FORGOTTEN.
Stand up for Lee Rigby @ 22mins is a gesture off support for his family and his young son especially. Who will feel very proud to hear his daddy's being sung as a mark off respect...
Lyn Rigby, Lee's mother is aware off this gesture from Derby and QPR fans, And I have this on good authority, that she finds comfort that her son is being remembered so near to the 1st anniversa
I don't think anyone's meaning any disrespect mate. it's just over the top doing 22 minutes and then another 9 minutes later. we'll not know whether we're coming or going.
I won't forget what happened. whether or not we all stand on the 22nd minute won't change that.
Seems that because we haven't all jumped on board with the idea that this somehow might seem disrespectful?
I don't think it's warranted. As tragic as it was there are more relevant tragedies to Derby. If people want to clap then go ahead but as you can see from this thread alone, it's not universal. 1000 likes out of a crowd of 80,000 doesn't suggest to me majority support.
If it doesn't have universal support on this occasion then it would be better left to some other occasion.
Yes i was a bit put out by ramg's response. It's a bit of a minefield though commenting on these type of threads though so i'll leave it at that.
