Watching and listening to some of the brave men that were there that day makes you feel very humble.
My dad's parents died in the war and my mums dad fought for us. I know he would be gutted that Salmond is trying to break us away from the rest of Britain
Unbelievable bravery and sacrifice all these men and women made for all of us in Great Britain.
Makes me unbelievably proud to be British
That post has moved me to tears.

My mind is made up. I abhor organised religion as it hinders the individual's own spirituality.

I would like to see these people integrated into British society, rather than sent back to the countries they or their family came from - which seems to be Pogue's stance.

my late mother lost 3 uncles in the war.

1 killed by american "friendly" fire, 2 of them after the war had ended and on the way home, they hit a mine off the south coast.

The greatest thanks to those that died so that we can live the lives we choose. Not forgotten

Respects to all who took part, no matter their flag or uniform, who gave so much more than any of us on here can imagine.

Good to see Angela Merkal present too. Wasn't just Allied troops who followed orders and took up arms. It's called moving on - take note those with Oirish Republican chips on their shoulders.
