Those are my thoughts too Whisky.

Whilst you are correct that many of the youngsters of the last few years have ended up in the lower leagues this current crop are going to the big clubs. One has already signed for Arsenal two weeks ago, another is training with the Man 1st team as we speak and a third is currently being lured by Chelsea, Barca and Arsenal. It seems like the crop we've all been longing for have arrived and left before we've had a chance to see them in Claret & Blue

Didn't we pilfer Jordan Brown in the same way from Arsenal of all clubs, what awful standards the Gunners must have.

According to TC's son, Reece Oxford has signed a new deal with us.

As for the other lad Borg, as he's under 16 nowt we can do if he wants to go, he will go.

First game of season a team of 15 year olds might stop other clubs from turning their heads.

All very pragmatic and c'est la vie gents.

I find it hard not to be disappointed regardless of the mitigation for their departures.

Good news re Oxford if true though, lets hope Sam is as good as his word and fast tracks him through the system to give the lad a chance.

    Tony Carrs? Wouldn't think so.

According to him TC (Carr) flew back from holiday to convince him to stay.

I think we've gone off track somewhere mate.

There is absolutely nothing whatsoever any club can do if another club decides to "poach" a 16 year old. Those kids are not contracted (they're not allowed to be because of their age) so when they reach 16 they effectively become fair game to all and sundry. And being brutally frank if a kid is shown round Arsenal's training complex I'd guess it would be job jobbed in most cases.

My point about us not producing players of sufficient quality to play in the PL was in response to criticism often made about the club's reluctance to blood young players. Obviously if we are losing players wit
