    This was in my iTunes yesterday morning, but I still had to download it from off of the cloud, on account of Mrsgriff liking the Irish tossers. We both listened to it last night and agreed that it is indeed an load of ****e. I expected it; she was disanppointed. Nee wonder they were giving it away.

    I listened to October the other day having not listened to it for years. It has stood the test off of time, and sounds like an album which could of been released last year. The guitar on it still sounds fresh and original and some of the songs are rousing rock anthems really. Strangely though, there are an couple off of tunes which point towards the subsequent changes and see them crawling up their own arses. That is probably because off of the rewrites and things. I heard years ago that Bono lost most of the lyrics for the album when they were touring the States, and had to write on the hoof in the studio. I think he were changing the band's direction then.

    This album was the start of the transition really, and until the weekend I had always thought it was War where they changed. A lot of people who liked Boy didn't like October, but I always did. Having had another listen, I still like it, but can see where some people were coming from, it is starting to get a
