Rant over. Not aimed at anyone in particular, but it does annoy me when people put down efforts of other people, without seeing the affect this group could have first! Based on your hate of confetti and balloons.

I am getting treatment for my confetti issues, ALLRIGHT !!

We have also lost games where we had a good atmosphere. Don't really want to knock the group, I have always been behind what Nick tries to do.. Not sure if he is involved in the group or not.

My point is that there is a tipping point where we start to look lame and become a laughing stock.

Big games will always have a good atmosphere at the start, flags (I have no problem with flags), confetti or jelly and ice cream, it's then up to the team to keep that going. Human nature will deflate it if the football is pants, no matter how many flags we have.

Half the mugs in the south stand don't bleeding sing anyway. People just took a cheaper seat.

Kids do read the forum.. Whilst some words maybe more used in everyday language, people get offended by the use of that word. I don't give a toss but others may well do.

Which all begs the question, what's with being able to endlessly edit on this new site?
Give it fifteen minutes or so, fair enough, but you can now edit forever. Creates endless opportunities for mischief and malice and stops people being held to account for what they've written because they can change it.

e.g. I recently wrote something like...'I agree with Rattea and wristslasher on this one'...which they both 'clicked' 'like' for.
But I could now edit it to say that 'Rattea and wristslasher are t******' (which I wouldn't of course) and they'd still appear to like it.

So wouldn't it now make sense to give us back the quote button and reinstate the limit on being able to edit? Or just stop fannying around with something that was fine as it was?

As far as I was aware, you were always able to go back and edit posts. Used to be able to years ago anyway.

Angry called me out on using a distasteful word and I was able to go back in time and take it back.

Maybe he will renege and withdraw the word he used to describe me too!

So I've made Bloomer aware of the bug in the swear filter. In the mean time, can I ask folks to bear it in mind and remember the site rules on bad language. If people now know that the use of capitals gets round the filter then doing so qualifies as deliberately circumventing it. Thanks awfully old chaps. Queens English only and all that, what, what.
