When I referred to you being unusually 'critical' Ella I wasn't actually being...critical. Your match reports are usually so valued precisely because they are so balanced and one can certainly sense your frustration this week.

Understand your disgruntlement with the team selection and the use of Bryson but it is very early days and I do think he contributed little after the booking, so 8/10 seemed more than a little generous to me.

As far as Pearson is concerned I have always had mixed feelings. I don't particularly like the man either but then I don't have to and that's not really relevant. I remember speaking to a Leicester season ticket holder on holiday about three years ago. He said he wasn't renewing as long as Pearson was in charge. Don't know what the outcome was but I suspect he was singing a different 'tune' a year later when they destroyed the rest of the Championship playing some great football. We seem to have needed a 'hard man' to handle to some of our 'characters' for a while now but it does seem slightly ironic that people are now calling for Wassell's input after all the flak he took last season.

I didn't think you were bring critical Anag; and in any case I can take criticism from you as it is always a point well made. In fact, I really welcome healthy debate; I am genuinely pleased to see posters like Swales, Angry, Roger, SUE, Mista, et alia because all have a very healthy desire to discuss what they're passionate about.

Wassall was of course very harshly dealt with by some fans. Those same fans are I suspect the ones who are now blowing warm smoke up Mr P's glutus maximi. And yet...Mr P in my book, is not quite the all-knowing footballing philosopher that some people may think. And evidence to support views that I have accumulated on the evidence of the past was presented on Saturday when he selected that team...My son Edward who is 13 knew that it was just a botched effort and we all (my 2 sons and I) braced ourselves for a pile of ...frankly; and that's what we saw.

I truly hope Mr Pearson can see the error of his ways...when he starts to get it right I will be the first to say so...but I fear for the squad. My fear is that we will start to see a demolition job because I have a sense that Mr P is always very clear that he is right all along the way...

Possibly some comfort in Pearson's comments that he will only bring in players if they are better than what we already have and add value to the squad? Does not suggest he intends to rip up the team.

Whilst I agree its not pretty, we have had three years of playing in a certain fashion and fallen short each time, so maybe tweaks are needed?
