I agree. If my boss didn't know my name it would irritate me. It can also give the impression that his involvement within the club isn't that great which I don't think would be the case. Not listened to the interview by the way so I am only assuming he has called him Warnes again.

He called him Warnes about twenty times in the interview, including four times in about twenty seconds. If I worked for him - in any capacity - I would HAVE to point out that his name is Warne!

Why does the addition of an "s" bother everyone so much? Maybe its TS's way of using affectionate terms, i.e. "Warney"

It seems everyone can tack a "y" one the end of a name and that's ok.
