With the new German coach coming in and his high energy counter press system we are wondering if Kieffer will be up to it and I personally feel he might not be quite what the new coach is looking for .

My question is this , given you are now back in the championship would you take him ?
He'll get better..good in the air, holds the ball up well, scores goals..but how much is the price?

Why not try for previous loanees Grant Ward, Jack Hunt and Tom Lawrence?

Derby just paid 7m for Tom Lawrence last season, don't think there's a chance we'll get him back again. Looks like a real class Championship player. Would like to see Grant Ward back here, but depends what Hursty wants to do with him

Bloody difficult for you lads to bring in the plug and play championship players .

Hopefully some off the radar gems can be found and you catch a break with the loans .

Not sure if you are aware of this but some of the big PL clubs will only loan you young players if you commit to them playing a high percentage of games , around 80% in most cases .

We had this with Ryan Kent from Liverpool the other year , there are big financial penalty clauses inserted in the contract should you not meet the percentage .

    Crackers !!!

That's the price these days , he's near enough at the same level as Marc Roberts who went to Birmingham for £3.5m , if Roberts was 8 out of 10 then Liam is at 7 .

You also have to factor in he's two years left on his current contract and we aren't in a position financially where we are looking to off load players .

I reckon he will probably leave the club this summer but my club won't accept anything other than top dollar because the cards are firmly in our hands with Lindsay and we know the bigger clubs are sniffing .

You also have to bear in mind he's going to want at least 12 to 15k a week because of the fee we will accept , Marc Roberts is on £20k a week just for comparison .

It's crackers mate but that's how it is these days .

The key with Rotherham is to sign Lindsay for £300k from Partick Thistle as we did .
I think you might find that you can knock a couple of Million off that price tag now your in League 1 animal. And your right that we should be scouting Scotland as there is some great young talent over there right now.
