I played some lowly amateur football in the Birmingham AFA (1960s) I seem to recall that each club were allocated 2 cup final tickets from the FA. The tickets were usually raffled to,raise some funds for the club. I won in 1969...and I couldn’t get a ticket for the 1968 final ! Leics / Man City...wonderful.
Whilst in 1968 no joy with tickets, I did the next best thing and visited someone who had a colour telly....
