I heard it had been bricked up and a chute just big enough to get notes down had been installed

Thanks for your help.

Just to clarify --I do not want the rumours that appear in the media because they are rarely near the mark, what I want to know is the players that the management have said that we are trying to sign and have made bids for.
Of course none of us know anything definite Sub, we're all depending on guesswork and tittle-tattle, but doesn't your valid observation that none of us know anything slightly miss the point. We are either trying to sign players and missing out on them, even though we don't really know who they are, or we aren't trying to sign anyone at all, which would be even worse.

I get the horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach it might be the latter scenario sinkov.

It was a genuine question sinkov. I read things on here and wonder if we have made bids for players, just as the local Toon fans do exactly the same ----and they ask ME if I have heard anything about who they are trying to sign because of a few of my local contacts!
It is amusing to think that they are just as much in the dark as we are. C'est la vie ----just getting you a bit of linguistic practice before you embark on your coming trip! Have a great time.

Cheers Sub, it seems like our Marseilles target has signed for Seville, or I might have been able to have a word with him this Sunday. I'm not too bothered if we never sign anyone from France, the only one I've ever liked was King Arthur, he was brilliant entertainment while it lasted.

Gnohere was my absolute favourite "no-football brain whatsoever" Burnley player ever. I met him and his missus in Manchester totally by accident in a late night jazz club. Mrs Gnohere was all French and exotic and Arthur was totally phucking bonkers. What a night that was!

They lived next door to a mate of mine in Barrowford BT, he said Arthur was happy enough, but Madame G couldn't wait for the day they got the hell back out to southern France. And she wasn't afraid to let Arthur know it.

That goal he scored at Preston, one of my favourite ever Burnley goals, King Arthur, what a star.
