In reality the EPL clubs that make mega bucks just spend it on wages and transfers and the rest do their best to keep up.Our wage bill is ridiculous but we have to pay it to keep the players we have.

The EPL are reluctant to help the clubs in the Championship etc because the money they pass down would all be spent on wages,Jimmy Hill's fault.

Don’t you think that if this lad had any ability, that half of Europe’s top clubs would already be after him.?Especially if he was performing like this every week.

But hold on....you can't be all willy-nilly and unrestricted - going around finding good quality players all over the place...distribute them evenly, you know - that'll upset the levels, disturb the order of things - have to keep the pedestals properly positioned for certain teams and "special ones" who know how to invent the field etc...topsy turvy flaky stuff, build excitement, drop the ball - and sell the merchandise !

sinkov, that's for me to know and you to find out! I've listened to Burnley fans moaning for the past 68 years ---perhaps our history has percolated into the wider world of football or a lot of players believe the media.

The team manager has appeared to criticise the board, and quite rightly so, for the lack of investment..
It’s all gone quiet now. Has Sean been disciplined and warned about his future conduct? Public criticism of your employer is usually treated that way. A fine is possible too. I wouldn’t be surprised.

Codes of conduct usually cover things like
Be respectful. We won't all agree all the time, but disagreement is no excuse for disrespectful behavior.
Choose your words carefully. Always conduct yourself professionally. Be kind to others. Do not insult or put down others.

A fresh directive has gone out to the twenty EPL managers NOT to discuss the Pay Per View scandal and concentrate instead on getting fans back into the stadiums.

There was me thinking we have freedom of speech.

Maybe I've missed something OC but I've never heard Sean say anything disrespectful or insulting, nor has he acted unprofessionally. He might have told the truth about the club's disinclination to spend money, but has always followed up that by saying he understands why. I cannot see why Sean might have been disciplined or fined, and I imagine he'd walk if they tried it.

Agree with you Sinkov... I suspect it has something to do with the fact that it is now too late.... why say any more now? He has said what he did in hope that if would make the board act.... now he’s focused on the job at hand. It’s really sad the way the club is run.... I know you OC and BT have tried to shift the focus to unstable economics, but that’s crisis management, and what every board has to deal with at thee moment ... the club has been run poorly (in terms of the squad) the last three years.
