It does seem that the club is in some disarray. We appear to have a chairman in Mike Garlick, who only speaks out when the team are doing well. Then was have another director in Brenden Flood, who does not know when to keep his mouth shut, rather than commenting on the possibility of the team manager leaving while he is still under contract.
The team manager has appeared to criticise the board, and quite rightly so, for the lack of investment.
Quite possibly we have unhappy players who wanted to leave but failed to get their desired move.
All of this uncertainty looks to be showing in the team’s performance.
The gulf between the manager and the board needs to be resolved very quickly and if that means losing Sean Dyche, for the benefit of the club then so be it. But who could replace him and I do not see a ready made candidate for that role, suggestions of Mark Hughes or Sam Allerdyce fill me with dread.
If on the other hand the take over rumours are to become a reality then we could lose the current board of directors which may not be a bad thing for the club, especially if the take over brings in some much needed investment.
