It's likely to get worse but at the moment there's only us and Millwall in the cship who aren't playing.
So two clubs out of 24 is a very small percentage and certainly not appropriate for whole fixture lists to be cancelled.
Obviously divs 2 and three are more affected
Like you Flour, my gut feeling and instinct tell me the same regarding the EFL and the big clubs in League 1. However, I've spoken to TS a couple of times (on the golf course) and he says we have an excellent relationship with the EFL and an even better one with the FA (England Ladies playing at NYS etc).
The impression I get is that under Boothy (and the owners after him) we were very much seen as a paria club. On the outside looking in. Stale, boring, outdated. Under TS bridges were built with the EFL and the FA (starting from when we had to move from the DVS back to Rotherham. The EFL would not have kicked us out of the league if we didnt meet the 4 year deadline as long as progress was being made on the new stadium) and we are now viewed very favourably and as a progressive club using a model for others to follow.
Despite what we think (and I too get those feelings sometimes) the EFL and FA quite like TS's RUFC.
Just to add to my post above, the EFL also very much like how we are run financially. Accounts filed every year and on time and the only debt owed is to ASD Lighting (in effect TS). And TS services that debt transparently and to the EFLs satisfaction.
We are, purely in terms of a financial model I hasten to add, head and shoulders above every single club in the Championship. Last time at this level RUFC posted a profit. Imagine that a football club posting a profit. And whilst we certainly aim to develop players and sell for a profit, the club model is not dependent upon that. Selling players for a profit is a bonus, not a necessity.
Grumpy's last two posts are up there amongst the most enjoyable I've ever read on here.
That certainly makes sense. Practically I think it would prove impossible. If you look at Rotherham v Middlesbrough and Sunderland v Blackpool from last week. If Middlesbrough vs Blackpool brought forward then on the original date for that fixture Rotherham’s and Sunderlands opponents are available the fixture couldn’t be be played. Seems a shame but logistically impossible.

Full lockdown on its way im afraid i reckon at least a month
it ciuld well be another premature end to another season
I'm sure that's correct Grumps and people looking for the outside do like our Chairman and Manager but I still think the EFL would prefer us as a div one club and would prefer others in the cship
Just because they think we are well run that doesn't mean they want us mixing with the big boys and struggling every season.
We don't really have a business model to sustain a long stint in the division we,re in whereas other clubs are a much better fit.
Sunderland and Portsmouth have bigger grounds, a much bigger fan base, attract better players and are much more attractive to sell to the TV companies. Proven by the fact that Sky don't seem to want to show us much unless it's showcasing Ivan Toney,s skills.
bT are showing us in Jan but that's because we,re playing Everton and every fa cup match is being shown
