    We got lucky with both.

Cosgrove, I don’t count as one of our youngsters and anyway may never go through a scoring spell again in his career, he really isn’t a very good footballer.

McKenna might have never got a game if not for injuries and an appalling defeat at Motherwell.
He really did have an amazing rise in fortunes that season but is not much more than a steady central defender.
Their “value” is much more to do with the inflated English market* than with their ability.

I would have McKenna back in the team but Cosgrove can stay away.

    * I know there was an offer from France for Cosgrove.

You also have to take into account the sheer boredom of watching our team play.

Joe undroppable Lewis stays in the team and captains us again. Astounding considering him virtually giving Livingston victory the other night. What’s the point in having Woods in the squad if he can’t be trusted whilst Joe Lewis has his poorest season as Aberdeen goalkeeper?

Lewis, Leigh, Considine, Taylor, Hoban, Hayes, McGeouch, Ferguson, McCrorie, Kennedy, Hornby.

Anybody like to have a guess at that formation? Looks like a 352 or 361

    Could be quite literally anything.

451 possibly with Hoban at right back?

4231 with Ferguson plated as no10

352 with Kennedy behind hornby and Hayes and Leigh wingbacks.

Don’t suppose it’ll matter much anyway

My guess is 3 at the back and then flood the midfield with Hornby up front on his own, we are well on the way to Aberdeen nil with 8 defensive minded players in the team

What a waste of money Leigh has been.

To be fair, watching the reply, I think he was injured first and that caused him to fluff the back-pass.
