I would, therefore, think that it would be advantageous to use a different gesture before games.
Agree. Will a new gesture work though? We know the current one isn’t. Fighting racism has been one long journey we’re all on, doesn’t seem to be improving.. sadly racism is here to stay.

Just thinking off the top my head, racists will only stop being racist when you hit them back where it hurts. So once someone is found to be racist (and this has to be swift) they are publicly humiliated or their families brought in to be ashamed. Then their employers. This won’t be a popular but a few of these tactics could be enough of a deterrent to others thinking of it. Stick a tag on their leg to monitor their movements, anything that really that can make their life a living hell. A bit extreme i know.. but will it make a racist think twice? maybe maybe not but it may deter others.

You could be pretty sure there will be a group who are against Racist Shaming Regis!

After all, there were women who wanted to sleep with Ted Bundy and Peter Sutcliffe.

I'm certain there was a regular poster on this forum who categorically stated he'd be booing those taking the knee at games. Only it appears he didn't. My mind's not what was though. Any ideas who it was Al' 😊 ?

    "A few hot heads".

That is without doubt the biggest load of bo llox since god decided to put the odd looking things on Adam.

Your club has a vast majority of scu mmy racist s hit.

You would boo anything that fought racism and it is only because your neanderthal lot did not know it was possible to fly, let alone the existence of planes, you would have done a shi ty clarets stunt.

I don’t boo and don’t applaud. Taking the knee should be ditched and a number of black players feel the same. Stronger sentences need to be enforced for any form of abuse whether it’s racist, homophobic or even ***ist. Players have a part to play in setting an example though which is not rolling in the gutter drunk, ignoring lockdown or even Dele Ali being racist himself. That said, others may think differently and their views should be respected too!

I am crystal clear with my views and if someone including me wants to boo taking the knee - it’s up to the individual. I applaud those black players of which there are many who don’t take the knee. Some who take the knee are hypocrites and can you imagine someone like Southgate if a player says - I don’t want to do it! They would be dropped!

For me the real heroes are those who try and eradicate racism through the community by spending many hours of their time helping everybody. Social media should be made to do more to eradicate racism or any form of abuse or be closed down! I can’t even understand why players would want to go on social media apart from 99% of messages telling them they are fantastic and a sporting God - sheer vanity!!
