I’m a big fan of this forum, but grown adults being mardy cos a bloke was nasty about their football team about 5 years ago is a bit crap. And we were utter shyte that night.

Not the only reason I dislike him as I agree with a lot of the other comments on this post and he is incredibly boring and forever stating the obvious. Complete lack of professionalism on that night but still appears to have progressed to become a face that pops up everywhere on TV. I do use the on off and volume button when he’s in my living room though.

He's neither great nor awful to me. He's very comfortable on TV, he can finish a sentence without needlessly repeating himself (I'm looking at you Alan Shearer!) Which is a big plus. He's far less annoying that Martin (you weren't that good) Keown. He's not Davie Proven or Gary Neville but he's no Garth Crooks either (thank god).
I dont think we are sensitive I dont care about Virgo or pundits to be honest but he was pathetic that night.

I dont want him to be our cheerleader either but he came over as a smug prick.

I take it you havent seen him on One Show then he is levels down from proper presenters like Jones/Baker.

Proven is excellent but Neville is a complete idiot the bloke pretty much felt United fans were ok to get a game called off in COVID times putting peoples lives at risk.

His club go spend over £100m on 3 players and owners at his club were ok again he also seems totally fine with Saudi govt buying Newcastle no doubt to open the door for equally horrible people to buy his club.

Just listen to him on Sky along with Carragher they go on like 14 year olds with no insight at all

The One Show? Nope, sorry never seen an episode not my thing. I've only seen him linked to football (+ one average documentary) and he's very comfortable on screen compared to many.

Disagree regarding G Nev. I'm talking football analyst, co-commentator he's excellent, great insight. I understand his personality and confidence/arrogance could put people off but in terms of his content he knows his stuff. He's on a different level to some of the other main channel analysts.

    All opinions so all good

How come G Nev as an analyst wont say that OGR is out of his depth? Biased?

Is he out of his depth? Led them to 2nd place last season. That’s only happened twice since Fergie won the league. He has achieved better league finishes than managers with better pedigree and CV’s in that time.
Neville has said that he regretted sacking a manager at Salford without letting the season pan out. Something he feels OGS should be allowed.
OGS won’t admit it, but he and Utd are lucky that Pogba is injured as he along with the other super stars (Ronaldo and Fernandes) are lazy. So in this respect it’s one player he doesn’t need to ‘keep happy’.
Many have jumped on the band wagon that Man Utd should somehow be challenging for the title because of Ronaldo. IMO they were alway battling for 4th place. Liverpool, City and Chelsea have much better squads.

I will partially agree Neville and Carragher used to be great but it seems Sky have told them to go into "bantz" mode.

He just cannot hide his bias he slagged off LVG & Mourinho but as his mate is in charge after spending £400m plus he says very little.

I get you dont wanna slag your mate off but he is the worst manager in the league without doubt !

I'm sure not one of us has given it a thought since that night, many moons ago but as sidders was asking it seemed rude to not answer.
I do recall him being a bit rude about us even before a ball was kicked.

Broad shoulders There's a few on here who seem incredibly sensitive. JJ is a Nottingham lad who supports Forest. Get over it. I was irritated a little during the Salford game by his comments, but far more by the shameful performance.
