O/T:- What is it about Jermaine Jenas?

Just mention the lad's name on here and you often get a load of derogatory posts from people who just can't stand him.
What's the problem with him - surely not just because he's ex Florist? He's a smart clean cut lad who has now launched himself on a media career. What's the rub?

It could be when hes on TV and talking about Notts he seems to belittle us,thats the impression I get when I've seen him.

Did this happen? I have never heard him speak about Notts, let alone belittle us.

When commentating, he was taking great delight in our struggle during the defeat to Salford in the cup.

He's an obnoxious little toad and i switch off whenever he is on the TV.

Im not sure that it’s only Jenas that is like that. The pundits love an underdog hence why some of the so called little sides get so much attention and TV coverage in the cup.

I think like Alex Scott it is tv over kill. They seem to be on everything and me personally get sick of seeing them.

I don’t know what reasons others have, but I find him indescribably dull, with little to no insight into the games he’s commentating on.

In the 80s it was Wogan who was never off the telly. Now it’s Jenas. On different channels.

I believe it was when we played Salford...however i could be wrong on the actual game it's been a while. However it was him commenting on a live game which could just as easily been a florist game.

... he symbolises everything that is woke about the bbc ... young; just enough international experience to qualify; mixed colour; would never say anything too controversial so as not to upset his bbc bame/trans masters/mistresses. He's broadening his representation/experience on other shows; so likely to be in place for decades. Oh how standards have fallen ...
