It’s ludicrous to expect a £4 billion business purchase to go through in days, it won’t happen.

It’s not just the legal side and due diligence it’s also the “right and proper” tests.

There’s going to be a much greater focus on this aspect from now on.

If this goes through by next week I’ll wear glasses on my c o c k in the Brummie Rd and do my best Groucho Marx impression.

All Russian billionaires with assets in this country should have those assets, all of them, frozen as soon as possible, regardless of their situation with the Russian state and the piece of s**t that leads them. The more that these ridiculously wealthy individuals lose out the more likely they are to go crying back home. The more money that these people lose the more likely they are to try to do something about it.

Also, shame on those sporting governing bodies that have not placed a complete ban on all competitors from Russia and Belarus.
