Thread: Is the club going to allow Chio and Dan to leave just like Smith and Ihiekwe?

Both will go, that's the inevitably of things at a club like Rotherham

Again, like a track on repeat, you’ve not taken the time to fully understand what my point of concern is. Instead in your come again both feet first claiming that I think I’m better at running the clubs finances? Where have I EVER said that?

Going by the exclamation marks in your post you sound like an angry man. Calm yourself down fella or you might do yourself some harm.

For all we know Dan and Chio have been offered the same amount Smith and Ike was.
Ok what would you do if you offered them both 15k per week and both said no. Where would you go then? Would you just keep offering until they accepted? Would you say fek u then and sell them both? Or would you let them try to keep us up and hope no one comes in for them and hope they resign on the summer?
Cayton, it is not a cheap shot at all fella so I don’t appreciate that comment, I am merely raising a point of concern that we could repeat the scenario of the two who left.

For the record, I firmly believe we are not capable, due to financial restraints,
of paying anyone 15k a week so that’s a non stater. IF we’ve offered and hit the ceiling price of what we can offer then so be it.

Here’s hoping the two remain at the club and see their contracts out and keep us in the championship.

You see, I know we haven’t got an open cheque book and realise our limits. Thing is, some on here and one in particular thinks I’m all about telling our Chairman what to spend which is the total opposite.

Rating a point of concern is all I’ve done nothing more nothing less.

The chairman says Rotherham need to establish themselves in the championship and then that’s the time to invest. What does the chairman mean by that ? . Does he mean outside investment or using his money?. They are his words nobody else’s. Now is that time to invest.

In the Paul Warne podcast there is a section where the interviewer has a quite long chat to Tony Stewart

From what he said ( my interpretation) is that his aim for this season is survival with what we can afford with the same budget.

Then if we stay up to start to spend more.

Basically following the Luton and Blackpool way of doing things.

Just hope there is a contingency plan in place to replace Barlaser, Ogbene and Wiles should they leave before the window closes. Whether that be permanent replacements or the loan market.
Problem is it's looking likely any of this will happen at the 11th hour leaving very little time

You come out with the same dross every other week wrapped up in different packaging ! and despite you claiming nobody’s understands your point of view ! most posters No your angle !

The reason Tony Stewart’s a millionaire is because he has in his lifetime taken calculated gambles which has enabled him to get where he is today, so you don’t have to tell him how to run his business!

You can’t force players to sign new contracts, you must understand that by now !

It’s only a couple of weeks ago you were sending a message to Paul Warne advising him to leave the club !

Millerstale, what's with all the exclamation marks? My my you're an angry man...why?

Oh by the way, I've been in touch with Scum-Triumphant and he doesn't know what time the cricket starts today. He only took a screen shot off the clubs page and there's no time on it.

Most we can offer Chioe & Dan is £10,000 a week but in that offer if a club comes up with the asking price which is set for both of them before they sign the new contracts both players will be allowed to talk to interested clubs. If Tony Stewart really wants to keep these two players he might have to go to £12,000 a week wages. Wiles I believe his current contract ends next summer in it there's an option to extend it for another season.

Smith and Icky were offered good new contracts by us,they got a better offer elsewhere.
I won't pretend to know what these figures were (unlike most on here),but I'm guessing it was substantially higher as they have gone down a league, so what can the club do in that situation ?
    Answer.....nothing.
We have a structure at the club that has worked so far,if either of these,or any other star players were to leave, it wouldn't be on the cheap.
