Why aren't we playing today and then again on Monday? We have played twice in three days fairly recently during holiday players so the I'm not buying player safety excuses.
39 years ago, Christmas Day fell on a Sunday (as it has this year) and our holiday schedule was.....
Mon 26 Dec LUTON TOWN (I was there)
Tue 27 Dec manchester united (wish I was there, we drew 3-3)
Sat 31 Dec ipswich town
Mon 2 Jan WEST HAM UNITED (I was there)
This year, just two fixtures and both against the same club.

Think it could be due to how Christmas falls at a weekend. It has happened before, remember feeling cheated on missing out on the footy over the holiday period.
The only thing the NL have got right is playing the same team home & away, how it used to be years ago but more local than oldham

Last time Christmas Day was on a Sunday our games were,
Mon 26th December: Notts 0 Doncaster 1
Sat 31st December: Notts 2 Carlisle 3 (att 3,825)
Mon 2nd January: Cambridge 4 Notts 0
Depressing!

Very hard to predict because it all depends on how Oldham players react to last weeks hammering (it should have been many more than 4) but if we score 1st I hope heads will drop.
