I suspect that was the plan but because most Blackburn fans left on 70 minutes they may have made a decision to open up a section of fencing further down NY Way

The revised plan appears to be a bad one if there were problems

Probably upset at getting thrashed (quote BBC) by a team on a fraction of their resources
Calling them Burnley,s B team probably didn’t help the situation either

The fencing was different this time.

Usually it extends further and blocks the exit from the New York Way car park. This time it was just a line of stewards trying to block that exit.

A shorter run of fencing maybe to make hire costs lower.

It’s a stupid plan anyway and one that will rebound on the club if there is a serious incident. There is enough evidence from comments on this board and other social media platforms highlighting the idiocy of it and there are probably fans that have made formal complaints to the club. Those added up would make it very difficult for the club to plead ignorance of a problem.

Not being funny, but when you get 4 punches swung at you missed by miles and some numpty throwing a push into the chest from being airborne can you then retaliate to it?

It’s banter grow up or don’t watch football, like them chanting jimmy saville, *****s etc. don’t like it don’t go. Worse used to get chanted off the tivoli towards bradford, keepers missus and David pleat but hey ho it’s too offensive these days.

6 pints, a game of football and a good old fashioned beat-up with with the away fans after the match. Proper entertainment.

Can't see what the issue is with that.

I didn’t blame the Rotherham fans at all. They were defending themselves and a few Blackburn fans regretted coming through the fence.
There was an Indian bloke who was going barmy at the Rotherham fans.

Further up some BR fans were talking about how hard they are and a copper approached them and asked what went off and they changed into
Innocent little boys. One of them looked like he had his sisters jeans on.

Blades we’re at home so I’m guessing most of police would’ve been in Sheffield but there would’ve been some at NYS, probably in police box

Not all Rotherham fans are innocent, they walk straight upto fenching goading

Why should TS even bother anyway seeing that he’s been constantly slagged off

Haha, seen pictures of Blackburn fans on social media all look about 12 years old. Saw 2 Asian looking blokes come through the fencing looking like they was after causing trouble. If using that fence it needs to be better manned than two stewards in all fairness. Poor from the club again on the stadium leaving strategy.

The long term answer is a bridge and footpath for away fans to exit up to west gate.

Doctors, nurses, heath care assistants, domestics, ambulance/ paramedics, I could go on as the list is very lengthy. There are currently more than 160,000 vacant positions within the NHS and it’s growing.

Imagine if half of those positions were filled. It would mean a more balanced workforce, more patients seen more quickly, backlogs reduced but more importantly, morale restored to what is now a very depleted workforce. That is what all this striking is about not just the money.

I witnessed first hand last week when my poor old Mum, 87 years of age, entered hospital in A&E at 6.30pm and was finally seen and sent home at 2.45am the next day! as there was no bed space for her to stay and be treated.

There are little or no Doctors or staff to treat everyone as like you say, the pay is better in Aldi’s and that surely cannot be right!

Apologies everyone for going off thread but I had to reply to this post to paint the larger issue.
I couldn't help but shake my head at the complete lack of comprehension of the issues avondale expressed in his post, but you've done a good job with this reply Brin!

It's a quite shocking mentality that some people think the solution to an understaffed healthcare system is telling those overworked and underpaid staff to quit and bemoaning them for choosing the industry in the first place. Genius. They should be thankful they're not currently dependent on these services.
