You know when you know........when I heard the line up I said to my Son before a ball was kicked that, having seen that line up and performance live at Birmingham we would get nothing at all but wasn't sure how many we'd lose by. We should have lost 5,6 maybe 7-1 they were just poor at finishing thank god.

On the way to NYS I was listening to King Ronnie and he nailed it in two statements. He said we had 6 home games and that we should be brave and play 2 up front. Second he said it was time Harding was dropped and he was bang on with both counts. Some might defend Harding because he crossed for Odoffin to score. Rewind those thoughts! He was absolutely dire again!! What was he doing for their first goal??

The team were clueless of how to attack, does one man make a team( Rathbone?), rubbish it's a team effort but boy have we gone off the rails. Nez has nailed a prima donna in our side, Fosu. A one trick pony who tonight could have come and sat with me.

Lacklustre is an insult to the word, we were a lot poorer than that. How can we go from the Sunderland/QPR games to that....it's the same players????? Taylor simply CANNOT defend that piss poor performance.

As for crossing a ball, only one man Ferguson can get a ball across. What do they practice in training? We are so bad at delivering a final ball. Now comes my BIG call. Get Richard Wood back in that back line or watch us drop like a stone. I like the look of Humphreys and definitely the athleticism of Blackett but, we need a leader at the back and we've lost our talisman. Hjelde was also poor but credit to Pelts a true warrior.

Believe me when I say the Cardiff game is MASSIVE, lose this and get ready for some heartache.

    We looked tired and flat

How many times does it have to be said that Peltier isn’t a centre back?

No grit in midfield where we are clearly missing Rathbone.

Hugill was “billy no mates” again, ploughing a lone furrow

As for Ogbene and Fosu, beat a man and pass is fine, beat two men and pass is also ok but never try to beat three. Both flattered to deceive looking good but basically ineffective giving defenders time to recover and woefully poor at crossing the ball.

A real huff and puff night with the best team winning

Agree with all the above Brin but why spare Huge-bill the criticism? He was dreadful. The most effort he put in tonight was man-hugging his former team mates. And as for that sitter he missed, abysmal.

    Washington league 1 at best.
    Harding league 1 at best.
    Lindsay league 1 at best.
    Kelly league 1 at best
    Eaves league 1 at best.
    Oddofin league 1 at best.
    Brammall league 1 at best.
    Kioso league 1 at best.
    Ferguson league 1 at best.

    Hugill championship level.
    Fosu championship level
    Rathbone championship level
    Cheo. Championship level
    Humpthries championship level

Too many injuries. If these were fit maybe different story.
We need a few transfer windows to get rid of all the poor signings from the past.
The summer window at start of the season is coming back to haunt us.

Sorry pal I just run out of POLITE expletives and words to describe a totally abject offer to a paying crowd. Yes Hugill was as flat as a pint o' beer darn sarf.

Tony, have a strong word word with Taylor this is not good enough.

Although a cheating b*****d the amount o' times he feigned injury I thought Evans was a good centre forward tonight and took his goal very well. I suppose he's use to sneaking in and out of tight situations.

Preston played very well, better players and in this league, when you meet teams on a good day, it's always going to be difficult.

We were weak. Partly done off par players, partly injuries but mainly we played a very well organised team with better players who had a collective good game.

In our battle on limited resources to finish at least 4th from bottom, this is always going to happen. I've said it before, but once again to be hysterically negative about losing tonight is just as ridiculous as the "comfortably mid table" posts when we get a couple of good results. Ibs is right to point to the few (but not that many) complacent posts that seemed to think we had survival sewed up, but he never seems to notice the immediate tearful hystrionics of a significant minority when we lose! Prob cos he's a t1t! :-)

On balance, despite the defeat and Blackpool result, and injuries, on balance, we're well placed and have it in our own hands to survive. I don't think we lacked fight or anything like that tonight. Just got bossed by a better team but if we regain focus and battle enough like we know we can, I still think we can keep off the bottom 3.

Agree with the above apart from Huge-bill, who is on his holidays.

Nowhere near good enough for what we need at this level.

Pup, I'm not being hysterically ridiculous when I've balanced Sunderland/QPR against our last two games. What's happened pal you explain to me where it's gone so wrong when it's the same players at the disposal to Taylor?

As for, '' I don't think we lacked fight or anything like that tonight''....we were bloody awful. Don't paper over the cracks pal it was s.hite.

It was a long drive home tonight! Our problems stem from our midfield - no composure, no guile and no fight. Coventry lightweight, Odoffin goes missing for 80% of the game, Fosu - great when things are going well, appalling in a dog-fight. If Rathbone is missing, we must start Lindsey to at least give us some bite. I have never seen such abject free kicks and corners since I played for a school team. And don't start me on throw-ins! Lose to Cardiff and the door to League One will be beckoning us through! Bloody dismal!
