Anybody who thinks we are not already in a battle to stay up lives in cloud cuckoo land. With our away performances shhiitte any wobbles at home and the trap door awaits.
Yes I am a bit worried now!

Getting a little concerned now. Clubs around us are beginning to gather momentum. QPR have started to pick up points and are now above us, Oxford have benefitted from the arrival of Rowett, Plymouth have rid themselves of Rooney and will probably reappoint Scumacher and Stoke have grabbed Robins who is, imo, a very decent and motivational manager.
We were horribly toothless today and lacked any sort of on field leadership. I see we’re linked with Jayden Danns. That’d be nice although I don’t know how realistic it is. Whoever we’re looking at this January I hope they arrive sooner rather than later and that they’re of the Adams rather than the Blackett-Taylor variety who has proved to be a bloody awful signing. Time for some wheeler dealing Mr. W.

I was all for sending CBT back to Charlton even before the end of last season, but for whatever reason, I think he's been poorly managed by the management team (when available). He is a bit of a one trick pony (cutting in from the left) but at least he has a trick, and IMO should be given a run rather than a here and there approach, he's clearly low in confidence and needs a boost. How affordable that 'experiment' is in a struggling team is questionable of course, but those with good and long memories will recall that the great Bruce Rioch started so badly he was loudly cheered when replaced one home game, yet look what perseverance did for him, and us.
Amazing goal, top bins, no saving that, 1 in a million effort.
Thought we actually played well in the majority, just need to be better at winning the ball back if we lose it in the final 3rd. 1st goal irritated me the most, Forsyth should be blocking that cross all day long.
For every Rioch there’s a Teale and a Lewis, AF. I don’t know if he’s been poorly managed, not sure how we would, but I do know he’s been a big disappointment. He was meant to be a major signing, by our standards, last January and it’s never felt right or looked like working out imo.
It's not Mr W who does the wheeler dealing though, is it? That's the recruitment team and the bean counters led by Pearce. PW puts a list together of what type of player/role he requires and includes a wish list of names for those roles. There's also a list of those he'd be happy to see move on and, right now, there has to be names on the exit list as our max allowed 25 man squad is full so there has to be exits before any incoming. That means, obviously, that there will be no signings until at least one player has gone and none have gone yet.
With regard to the Wendy game, a great one for the neutrals. First goal, Bradley beaten for pace, allowing Gassama to cut into the box. At first sight, his pass looked to have crossed the line before being cut back for Bananaman to poke home. Fozzy made up lots of ground but was a foot short of blocking the cross and Kenzo hadn't tracked back with BB.
Their 2nd from Windass was class. He saw JWZ off his line, in fact, out of the box, decided to have a go and in went his 5th goal in 5 successive appearances. To be fair to JWZ, he was where any keeper would be expected to be given where the play was at that time.
Their 3rd from Gassama was also class. He flicked the ball past our defence and is simply too quick for any of our back line to have done owt about it. JWZ was well positioned but Gassama squeezed it past him.
Their 4th. Poor pass/clearance by Nels, Musaba latched onto it, decent parry from JWZ but the rebound fell nicely for Musaba.
Our 2 were decent enough efforts. Prior to them we had a flurry of chances. Wilson might have had a hattrick, Yates hit the post from 4 yards out, their keeper made a flurry of decent saves, 6 to JWZ's 4. We had 17 shots to their 13, both teams had 8 on target. On the whole this game could have gone either way or ended up as a draw based on the balance of play. Had a chat with a Wendy fan mate and we both said 4-4 at HT would have been a reasonable reflection on play.
I hope that Cash is back soon. Paired with that, I also hope we don't don't rush him back too soon and see him break down again. Based on the Wendy game, I also hope that Brown gets a run of starts, especially if we're going to play 2 up top. Even with a one there, surely he can't be a "careless" with chances as Yates has been? Time to "rest" Jackson, IMO.
Ozoh returning would also help us be more resilient.
Exits? I think Wash, if he is prepared to go, and I've seen rumours that he's not willing to go. Ward and maybe CBT as well. Barks is another I think could go.
CBT. Was carrying an injury when he arrived. Was never properly right last season but did do very well against Pompey, IIRC and in one other game. The rest of the time the niggles he was carrying hampered him. He got injured again in pre season since when he's found it hard to break through. Decent goal against Norwich earlier this season. 9 appearances (287 minutes) in total this season, 12 last (418 minutes). An average of 33 minutes per appearance. I would suggest that that isn't conducive to gelling into a side. For me, he either gets game time or we move him on. Same goes for Daj Brown, game time here or a loan elsewhere otherwise his development will stagnate.
