    Matchday Thread: Owls v Rams

We were robbed (or we robbed ourselves) in the return fixture, what are your hopes and fears for this one?

Stifling Bannon is IMO the key as ever

2-1 win if we do, 2-1 defeat if we don't

I hope we take our performance levels from Leeds into this game, and if we do, I also fancy a 1 nil win.

Virtually identical records since our last meeting so difficult to call. Fancy us for a hard earned point in a low or no score draw but home advantage may prove crucial.

I reckon our lot will be knackered after their Leeds efforts so at best a draw 0-0 but more likely a 2-0 defeat!

With AF on this. Emulate Cloughie's tactics against Best or Alan Ball. Stick Johnny Mac on them. This time it's Tommo or Ossie to stand a yard, maybe two, off Bannan and in a direct line between Bannan and the ball. He'll never get a kick.

With regard to Bananman, I understand the agro some fans have with him. He's a bit of a Saville figure. He's a tw@ but he's a Wendt tw@ so he's disliked. Too old now to make the switch but give him an 8 game run in black and white and he'd become the universally loved Derby tw@

The most obvious case of this was Franny Lee, hated by Rams fans in his Man City days but a legend with a Ram on his shirt.
Bannan is class and looks Manager material to me.

Exactly, he?ll always be disliked by any teams fans he doesn?t play for. My Sheffield wed supporting fan thinks he?s got some secret dirt to dish on efl refs as a group, take his handball versus stoke, he virtually caught the ball in the penalty area, got up, brushed his chest which the ball got nowhere near, and the ref said play on.

Never sure where the bannan hate came from. Although labelling as bad as Saville seems harsh lol.
