In response to you and mellow I would agree that we are pretty average. Although I think we have a pretty average budget in league 1. I think we had an average budget when we went up too.
I didn?t expect us to go up this season. I also didn?t expect us to be as bad as we were for the first part of the season.
I don?t go to many away games but I?ve quite enjoyed the games against Charlton, Bolton, Reading and Huddersfield. More enjoyable than the soul destroying championship games. I?m resigned to average this season. I just hope that we don?t fall below average next season. I hope our budget doesn?t fall below below average either.
Aren't we loyal putting up with year after year of false dawns, mediocrity and failure??I've been like that since 1965. And it only applies here. Go figure
An awful performance at a ground that we always perform appallingly at! Can anyone remember the performance in April in our last promotion season under Warne when we nearly bottled a 10 point lead! It must be the 'non league' vibes that sends sparks of superstardom to our players' heads! It's a shame this doesn't happen to our fellow competitors seeing that Burton have only won 1 league game at home all season. At least Evans didn't shirk the post match interview. I will also give credit to Burton.I have seen them at the NYS and I have seen them today.........how on earth are they where they are in the table?
Interesting post this. Made me wonder which fans of which clubs wouldn't post these exact sentiments? I'm an adopted spurs fan as local team and whilst we might dream of their status, most of their fans would post exactly the same! So what of Rochdale? Donny? Wycombe? Preston? Southampton? And I'm sure Brum etc will soon again join the list. Isn't it most of us that aren't the super rich?
Steve Evans tactics -
Back to hoof-ball to Wilks & Green, who were in no-mans land with Burton's defence,
it showed against Bolton & Charlton, that the ball on the floor was a key tactic.
So why did we go to hoof-ball in the game.
Wonder what North West Corner has to say on Evans tactics today.
No, no, and no we have a very good budget for league 1 I know this because our wonderful coo said so at the start of the season. No excuses for our back room people they are failing in their job, everyday. We are told that Sheffield utd told us two weeks ago that their young striker wasn?t coming to us and what have we done, phone two weeks later and hope they have changed their minds, how pathetic is that. Let?s stop finding excuses for TS yes men and see them for what they are, a waste of space.
