We?re not good enough for the league we are in never mind the one above. We haven?t a player on the books that would cut it in the championship.

Re the comment about Clarke and Sormaz, the incompetence doesn?t stop there it also lies with those who appointed them.

As per the thread I raised a few days ago which drew surprisingly little response, we go through personnel in quicksticks and it?s all down to pyss poor decision making in choosing the appointments or failing to back the appointment with suitable tools(players) for the job.

We know where the responsibility for that lies

    Agree to a degree.
We all agree that these owners - like the vast majority of football club owners know nowt about the details of football.
So they have to appoint people that do.
So yes the buck stops with the owners especially the Chairperson - Neerav.
    He appoints the DoF.
The DoF is then responsible for the recruitment and appointing the head coach.

My point is that yes Neerav got the appointment of DoF wrong.
But its the DoF that got the recruitment wrong and it?s the DoF that got the appointment of the HC wrong.

We cannot point the finger at the owners saying they know nothing about football - and then at the same time accuse the owners of poor recruitment and poor performances - when the owners have appointed staff in good faith to take care of recruitment and performances.

That would be like an electrician going to a house and doing a bad job - and the owner of the house saying the owner of the electrical company needs sacking.

I think the problem is Ethel is that none of us really know what to say anymore , we just seem to be repeating ourselves over and over again .

I'm personally finding it tough to find anything to post about , it's hard work because as I say we are just regurgitating the same old stuff .

I agree with Animal. I think your analysis says it all Ethel. I can't add anything and I agree with you ;-)

Arbie/ Animal if you haven?t already watched, take a look at Tykes TV recent broadcast with Luke Goddard as guest and Reds Report (both on you tube). The lads on those episodes are summing things up just as many on here are doing. Total apathy is running through the fan base, and the finger is rightly pointing towards the owners. I thought it was interesting listening.
I don?t know if a change in owners is the solution, sometimes you have to be careful what you wish for. At least this group are plugging the financial black hole, some of it created by them (running costs are far too high). They need to start making good footballing decisions instead of chasing profit on the sale of our assets.
None of our players have improved under Clarke?s leadership as they did under Duff for example, some have gone backwards so I suggest that he?s not the future of BFC and that will be chalked up as another poor appointment.
So to our owners, please give us something to get enthused about.

Yep - some good points made there.
I?m only assuming that the problem is Sormaz - and not Neerav.
If Sormaz is getting players interested but Neerav is unwilling to pay for them - then the problem is obviously Neerav.
However - Barnsley are not renowned for bringing in expensive players.
Plus of course - we have had a sequence of two relatively poor HCs.
Which hasn?t happened at Barnsley for years.
So I can?t see the problem being money.

I?m guessing here but I think the problem here is Neerav has appointed someone with a good CV that talks the talk - but unfortunately he can?t walk the walk.
This after the appointment of Khaled - who was another flop who got the push.

So the only thing I?d get enthused about right now is a change of DoF followed quickly by a change of HC.
As far as I?m concerned this season is dead.

I?d not criticise Neerav per se as he?s passionate at moving the club forward.
My only criticism of him would be that some of his appointments to date have been poor.
He sort of needs better advice about appointing his advisors.

I strongly believe that we are on the brink of great times at Barnsley.
But that ain?t gunna happen until the right staff are put in place.

There is absolutely no evidence that we are on the brink of great times at Barnsley , I am afraid the evidence shows totally the opposite and we are in decline , it is only my opinion but this decline will gain momentum whilst ever these present owners are running the show , sometimes you have to admit that you are out of your depth !!!!
