You have Tanaka, James, Gnonto etc and they would have matched up fine against their tired players or subs. We were outcoached

Yeah I get that. We were nailed on for a point though. Dunno if you can blame him for an og with 3 minutes left.

The game turned in the last 20 minutes and definitely in the last 10 we looked knackered in the middle - Stach was dead on his feet - and you could see we couldn?t prwsss as much but he did nothing.

We also had this weird long ball tactic to hoof it and let Nmecha jump but they have massive CB.

Up to that point Farke got a lot right - Silva changes Fulham and goes at us and Farke didn?t/is in capable of reacting.

Another point gone begging. God knows what Hannibal was playing ,keep your hands down in the penalty area FFS.
Unlucky Alf - gutting to lose that way and so late. None of the promoted teams are going down so far without a fight.

Once again, the story of the game comes back to farke! Wait for wolves now, and what more story he can drill and the guy's reactions on here.

Just get rid of Aaronson- It has to be a 49ers input for merch sales in the US that keeps this flailing windmill in the team. It?s like playing the PL with 10 men.

In PSR terms we should have got rid of Wober, Meslier, Aaronson, Piroe (we apparently turned down offers for him) and probably Gruev and Harrison.

That would have allowed upgrades to come in but no one seemingly wants to buy them at the value we put on them.

DCL looked decent on Saturday as did Ofakor. Why Gnonto gets dropped when he?s been one of the stand outs is a mystery.

If the loans have recalls then if Farke goes and we get someone like Nuno then calling back Joseph, Crew and Rama would be a very good start.

Gnonto has taken too many shots on goal this season. Coach will correct this. Either pass the ball back more or ride the bench.

We?ll make a minimal value player out him by the time we are relegated just like we did Rama, Joseph and Cresswell

    1.Substitutions ?

Five changes must be made during a maximum of 3 times when play is stopped, meaning a Coach can only signal for substitutions on 3 of those occasions during the match.

I Noted Stach got a yellow on 11 mins.
DF bought off Okafor, who also had a 64 min yellow card, for Harrison at 68 minutes.

DCL off for Nmecha on 69 min & Aaronson hooked for James at 77 mins who was then substituted for W. Gnonto at 89 mins.
Noted that James was involved in a 'competitive' friendly game on previous Tuesday for Wales at home to Canada, playing the full 90 mins too, as did Charlie Crew & they both had poor games according to reports in Welsh press.

Fulham subs bench were game changers 'tho, Adama Traor? at 60 mins & Kevin on 76 mins for Iwobi who played well & then Rodrigo Muniz was replaced by Jim?nez on 84 - hell of a handful to cope with to be fair for any team as all 4 players a top notch attack wise, imo.

    Tactics wise ?

TacticaIly DF played Aaronson on the right to shut down Ewobi, so it was largely a defensive decision using Aaronsons best tendencies which are his engine, being quick & irritating presence, so fair play as his pressing & trying to set up quick one-twos where quite effective from the full game 90 mins of play back that I saw & what I was told from my mates present at match.

So, yes that set-up may not necessarily contribute much in 'attack, but it did keep them from gaining anything territorially on that particular key side of events, imo.

Our passing network was very interesting to look at closely, notably the left side with Okafor, Stach & Gabby Gudmundsson 'mostly' doing what they should be doing to be fair, which is out wide making neat passes in a triangle.

Sadly, our right side appeared to be a total mess with Aaronson too centraly located at times leaving Longstaff not pushed up enough out of his own half allowing Fulham space.

Saying all that, to be fair Bogle gave Fulhams Iwobi a hard time when Fulham ventured forward, so Bogle did well defensively in the first-half but he defo struggled to contain Kevin their substitute winger who caused us problems on that side & he also had James back tracking too before he came off - so thats my take from my playback Tv viewed opinion !

Real shame about that goal but I did say the game would be won by teams full backs, not quite in that manner literally, 'tho. 🙁

    Positives ?

Happy to take the tactical positives defensively & the overall battling individual decent performances considering it was Fulham who appear to have a gem in Kevin & obviously key worry is that DCL is not quite match fit yet & looking at his missed chances in the game, including his straying off side on occasions, then some positives there too, imo.

    Just saying

We lost that game in the last 20 MT - Farke needed to sub Stach for Tanaka or even Bijol and re juggle.

He also didn?t react in the right way to their attacking options they brought on and how we then stopped pressing high and dropped off.

Up to that point we looked solid and did well. Sadly the game doesn?t finish on 80 minutes you have to travel a few miles west to Twickenham for that.

Listen to he post match press conference where he says he won?t mention the window and then constantly refers to it and pretty much says Aaronson, James, Gnonto etc are not good enough. Priceless.

Still think we were unlucky but it increasingly felt like we would lose that game the more it wore on.

Almost felt sorry for Alfs lot

As for us it was very frustrating to lose and that own goal was one of the worst/best own goals I have seen us concede , piss poor defending in my opinion.

Agree we looked solid but we never really looked likely to score , and this was against one of the sides we should expect to get something from. The worry is it's a pretty short season with 38 games so can't afford to drop points against these sort of sides but what does give me a little confidence is there are a few teams down their with us who don't look that good.
