Personal perspective is that once they have chosen to leave then I neither wish them good or ill unless they leave in a way that is bad for or disrespectful to Notts (Sam was the closest I can think of as an example of that).

Wonder how long it will be before he realises just how good a situation he had at Notts, few clubs have owners with such a balanced, supportive outlook and long term strategy.

I think you should call him Allardyce.
Thing with LW was:- He achieved some brilliant results but left at a bad time for us.
Mid-season, in a bad run of form and right at the beginning of the transfer window.

Fair enough I will call him Allardyce (or Judas LOL)
Re LW, do you think the dip was at least in part due to his head and heart being elsewhere and the players knowing and reacting to that?

Possibly. They sacked their manager right at the beginning of December.

Well Wealdstone and dorking were, I’m not sure there was one more last season for sure or not, but to allude we were just having to beating part time teams was quite wide of the mark, any players having additional jobs is irrelevant if they have a full time commitment to the club.

So you admit he was a decent coach? Even though you are way off the mark with your comment.

I don't believe for one minute that Swansea, Notts or Williams did the dirty that Bolton and Fat Sam contrived, namely "walk out on your job and we'll give you a job in a few days time. Leave a note under the door just to let them know you've left".

Disgusting behaviour, but then Fat Sam wasn't known for being on the level all the time was he? Sam Allardyce was sacked as England manager on Tuesday having behaved “inappropriately” when seeking a lucrative sideline role while talking to undercover reporters, bringing a crushing end to his dream job after one match and 67 days in charge.

    Idiot (Fat Sam I mean).
There is so much evidence that points to my comments. In Swansea's welcome press conference, LW said he agent told him their chairman was in his way to his house so he got the vacuum out. Had they made an approach to Notts first, the board would have said to LW that they've received an approach and permission was granted for him to talk to them.

The second bit of evidence is that when IB left, they tha ked Forest Green for their professionalism in their approach. We also did the same with Wealdstone, there was no such comment in LW's leaving statement. It's quite obvious they had annoyed the board, along with the length of negotiations as well, it was quite obvious that we had the upper hand rather than the other way around

Oh come on!! "Hey Luke, the Chairman of Swansea is on his way over to see you. I presume you are in and ready to have a meeting".

    or

Notts to Luke: Swansea are interested in talking to you. We have given them permission so if you are interested you can let your agent know.

Agent to Luke: If you're in tomorrow afternoon I let Andy know as he has a couple of hours spare, I'll call you when I know he's on his way.

The vacuum cleaner bit is just to add a bit of lightness to it all.

But if you want to think he behaved like Fat Sam then that's what you'll think.

But that's how it would have been (without your light-hearted humour). If the approach had been above board (I have no idea, along with anyone else here, whether it was or wasn't) the Notts board would have told LW that an approach had been received and approved (or not).

I find it extremely hard almost impossible to believe that IF their chairman tirned up without permission that LW would have said it publicly.
I think the boards probably more hacked off with how long it took. I imagine Swansea with their financial position didn’t want to pay hardly any compo and thus it dragged on and on.
